Our Prayer

Lord, help us to PLAN, PREPARE, & PLANT what you would have us to. Help us to WEED out of our lives what should not be there. Lord, help us to grow through you in our relationships, our attitudes, and our lives, always being in your will. Help us to always walk with you. Let us always be thankful and content. Amen.

Rainforest Cafe

This is us on the right with our friends Gayle & Bruce on the left.
Gayle wanted us all to meet and eat at one of her favorite restaurants
in Orlando.  It is part of Disney but you can just eat in the restaurant if you want to.

This is Gayles daughter, son in law & daughters.
They loved the restaurant as much as we did!

When we walked in we saw this huge mushroom.
Check out those bar stools!
Aren't they so cute!

There were big aquariums all over the restaurant.
It is really something worth seeing.

This big snake was hanging above our table.
Every few minutes you would hear all the animals come alive.
They would move and make sounds.
It was the neatest place.

Look at all those aquariums!
The fish were beautiful.

This big gorrilla would move and make loud sounds
just like we were really in the forest.

So did he!

The butterflies were giants but flapped their wings just like they were real.

Isn't this beautiful?

I loved this place.
The food was wonderful.
I usually take lots of food pictures
but there was so much to see I forgot about the food.
We had so much fun.
It was well worth going.
It is not just a restaurant.
It is an experience.
My Grands would have loved this place!

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR.........friendship.
There is more on our trip. Part 3 coming next.

Special Prayer Request
Early this morning one of our dear friends lost her battle with cancer.
So as I post our fun times with Gayle & Bruce, it makes me thankful
that we have these memories and fun times.
We never know if we will have tomorrow.
Kathy was only 50 years old and so full of life.
So if you are blessed to have a friend, hold on to them, love them,
cherish them, stay in contact with them
because we just don't know what tomorrow holds.
A few weeks ago Kathy asked me for my chocolate cake recipe
and she shared her famous homemade soup with me.
She didn't even realize that she was sick then.
I am so thankful for facebook because that is where
we reconnected after so many years.
Please keep this family in your prayers.
I am thankful to have known her.

I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's passing. It is wonderful that you were able to reconnect, though briefly, through facebook. I had a similar experience several weeks ago. One of the girls from my high school that I had reconnected with on facebook, had a sudden massive stroke and never regained conciousness before passing away a few days later. It does make you realize how brief our lives here are and causes one to cherish all our relationships even more. I'll be praying for that family.
On a happier note, I love the rainforest cafe, too. We used to have one near our house in Houston. It was so much fun!

I loved the pictures of the cafe. How neat!

I am so sorry to hear about Kathy. That is way too young. What a tragic loss!!

We have been to that cafe and it is something else. I do love those stools.

Val I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I lost my BFF 6 years ago when she lost her battle with cancer too. I've missed her so much. Especially her sweet laugh and her phone calls. She was only 51. You are right, we need to hold onto the ones we love and tell them so.

I've been to the Rainforest Cafe a couple of times, once in Toronto and once in Niagara Falls (our side) and like you, I loved it. As you say it's quite an experience:-) I love watching the children's faces when the lightning and thunder starts and then the animals start to move and make noises!! Whoever thought up the idea of this restaurant is a genius:-) So glad you were able to meet up with your friends!!

How very sad to hear of your friend having passed away. She was certainly much too young:-( We just never know when our time on earth is up and that's why they say to live to the fullest every day!! xoxo

It was just days ago that you told me of Kathy's illness. I know this is such a sad time, but thank God we have the hope of heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ!

How sad to lose a friend. And, she was so young. That is so hard to comprehend, a life cut so short.

There used to be a Rain Forest Cafe in the Mall in Norfolk. But, it closed. I enjoyed it while it was here and was sorry to see it go.
