Daddys Quilts

I asked Daddy if he would make me a king size quilt for my bed
and this is the one that he made for me!

Daddy has lots of quilts made to sell.
I just took a close up of a couple of them.
I love the colors in this one!

Love the colors in this one too!
Daddy makes full size quilts and sells them for 60.00!
You can find more if you click
on the tab labeled "Daddy's Quilts" at the top of this page.

On this particular day I went to visit Daddy and we sat on his little
porch and he was holding his cat.  He was telling me that she
was acting funny and never wanted to be held.
He said he had sat there about an hour holding her because
she was loving it so much!

Then Daddy finally got up and gave me some little tomato plants
to take home. In the mean time the Kitty just laid up on the chair
waiting on him to come back.

Then I left and Daddy called me and said that right after I left,
this is what happened.  She actually had 3 kittens but 2 died.
Daddy suspected that she was expecting but she was a baby herself
so he didn't think she was old enough but he said that is why she was in that
loving mood.

Daddy knows with my Tmj I have not been able to get out and do what I
would normally do like till and plant a big garden.

But Daddy also knew me.
He knows that I have to have a garden.
So he got out and tilled my little raised bed for me.
Now it is planted and I can keep up with it.

I am thankful that today Daddy's family comes first and
he will do anything to help if he can.
Daddy is a very hard worker and is not one to sit still.

TODAY I AM THANKFUL THAT
.........my Dad is in my life today!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

The Good Life

Now this is the way I like to babysit my grandchildren.
The only thing that would have been better is if I had wore a bathing suit!
It was so hot! I don't know what I was thinking.
That's Alyssa coming off the slide!
My daughter joined this country club here in town
so the kids would have a nice place to swim this summer.
It sure does make our days more fun!
Tris said it was cold when she first got in but it was in the 90's!
They have a nice little snack bar and we had hot dogs, chicken fingers and fries
for lunch at the pool. What a life!
Tris is so good with her little brother & sister!
Next time I will be out in that water with them!

There is Brother jumping in!
They never stopped. They were the energizer bunnies! We stayed about 4 hours.
Now this is the way I like to keep my grandchildren.

The next day we went and had lunch with my daughter, Mandy and "Little D" and then brought him home with us for the afternoon. He was so good. He is almost 6 months old and has grown so much. I don't know why I didn't get any pictures. That is just not like me. I must have been busy with 4 kids! They were all so good!

I have always kept my grandchildren in the summer but this year I am only keeping them a couple of days in the week. It used to seem more like a job and now it is fun! I am looking forward to many more fun days with them this summer!

Me & my "sweet honey" & our little bass tracker
are leaving to go out of town fishing for the weekend.
We are so excited. We have worked so hard here around our house to get ready to go, so we deserve it. We are hoping for some rest, relaxation, good food & lots of fishing!

A Very Special Happy Fathers Day to my
"sweet honey", my Dad, & both of my Son in Laws!
