What Can I Say?

Life is good when you are home with the man you love and he is cooking on the grill!
Look at these beautiful tomatoes. I love them cooked on the grill.
I love them on a tomato sandwich too! I love them in salsa too! I love them in a salad too. I could go on and on. Do you think I love a good fresh tomato???
Our favorite part of having a garden is grilling vegetables.
We marinate our squash slices in olive oil and a little Dales Steak Seasoning Sauce and then grill.
Oh my goodness!
We also had some chicken, bell pepper and onion.
Fresh corn shucked, silked and wrapped in foil with butter, salt and pepper made a perfect supper.
Life is good.

SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Friendship

Have I ever showed you this? My friend Sherry sent this to me a while back. She made this just for me. I keep it in my Bible. It means the world to me. I met Sherry by joining an "Annie" swap. I had never ever made one but I did it. The one she sent me was gorgeous. But from there we have a great friendship. I have received so many cards from my blogging friends. I remember when I first started blogging. I actually never thought about me blogging. But I had saw a blog and loved it. I called my Mom and asked her to start a blog so we could learn more about her and her family. She challenged me by saying, "I will if you will!!!" I took the challenge only to make her happy. I didn't think I had anything to say! (my hubby and best friend are laughing their heads off right now). Anyway, I never ever knew that I would meet so many blogging friends that have actually turned out to be great friends. You will never know what your love and support have meant to me. I may never meet you on this side of Heaven but if you get there before me, "wait for me". I hope and pray to be there. Thank you all for your friendship. I treasure it. There are no words to tell some of you how much you have encouraged me.

SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART
I found this poem in some of my papers. I love it. I thought I would share with you. I don't even know who wrote it but it is good.
Beautiful Christian Sister
When I say....'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin', I'm whispering 'I was lost , Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say...'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say...'I am a Christian' I 'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say...'I am a Chistian' I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heart aches, so I call upon HIS name.
When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

Have You Ever?

SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART
Oh the Lord is so good! I have decided that I am going to start looking for what the Lord is trying to tell me & my family while we are on this journey. My eyes are open to everything I see, hear, and read. As much as I don't like trials, once you get your focus where it is suppose to be you feel so much better even while you are in the midst of it. Our family is so blessed. We have so many things to be thankful for but we all have to go through the valleys to get to the mountain top. Then it happens......Satan tries to discourage you. Sometimes others misunderstand you when you don't talk about your feelings. It is not that you don't want to share but sometimes the hurt is so bad. I was talking to my daughter Mandy about this very thing and how this is something we had to go through. We don't like it, but we will endure it. When we got off the phone Mandy told me that she started thinking and just started writing things down. She called me back and read this to me.
See if you think the Lord used Mandy. I do.

Have you ever....
wanted to help someone so badly, however helping them means hurting them?
Have you ever....
helped someone so much that you actually hurt them?
Have you ever....
loved someone so much, however loving closely means being taken advantage of?
Have you ever....
had to love someone from a distance so that their life could be saved?
Have you ever....
thought about giving someone $5.00 for a meal but it could actually mean $5.00 for a death sentence?
Have you ever....
hurt for someone so much that your heart breaks?
Have you ever....
had to pull away from someone so that one day you can hopefully pull them close?
Have you ever?
from my daughters heart.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
We are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken;
Cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our body.

Snippets From My Heart

First of all, I just have to show you my first embroidery!! Embroidery for dummies!!! That is really the name of it. I actually finished it.
Perfect, NO, but I did it and I am proud. Now what do I do with it? *Smile*

Snippets from my heart:
I have to tell you that as much as I love blogging, my heart has not been in it lately. I know that I need to get busy sewing and blogging because those things that I love help keep my hands busy in things besides working and makes it easier to deal with the journey that I am on. I need to pray more too - that is for sure. But you may notice that right now I will be giving you little snippets from my heart without telling you my whole story. That is not really necessary. I want to make a difference. Isn't that what we are here for? So bear with me as I share my heart for a few posts. This is for me but I hope that it will bless someone else too. That will make this trial a blessing. That would make a difference.

Happiness is like a butterfly,
The more that you chase it,
The more it may elude you,
But if you turn your attention to other things....
It will come and sit softly on your shoulder.
