Our Home Part 1

We love our home more than you can imagine but
we have decided to downsize so we are putting our home up for sale.

This is the end of a deck that goes from one end of the house to the other.
Those stairs lead down to the basement sidewalk.

This is a 2 car separate garage with a loft.
We also have a carport that is attached to the house
and 2 double awnings that equipment or cars can go under.
So all in all we have cover for 8 vehicles.

Right in the center of the deck is this screened in porch.
We put a screened door on each side so you can go to either side of the deck
without any trouble.
There is a creek down below the deck in the woods that you can hear while
you are sitting  on the deck.
When it rains it sounds so beautiful.

This view is showing one side of the deck and you can see
the screened in porch from this side.

This is the other side of the porch and the deck.

I LOVE this barn!
I LOVE every barn!!!
The barn is down in the pasture.
We have 5.62 acres.  It is fenced with gates.

This is one view from the other side of our pond looking up toward the house.
See those bradford pear trees going up the drive.
We planted those 15 years ago.

This view of the pond is looking from the pasture up towards the road.
See those leyland cypress trees on the other side of the fence?
We planted 52 of those 15 years ago.
They have really grown.

This view of the pond is from the upper part looking down in to the pasture.

We have blueberry bushes, apple trees, muscadine vines & grape vines.
We also have a strawberry bed.
See why it will be hard to leave this place?

A closer look at the barn.

This view is from the pond looking up toward house even though you
can't see it good.  We have gourds up for our Martins. That is what the tall pole is.

This is another view from the road side of the pond looking down
into the woods.

We also have a double wide on our property.
It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home.
It has laminate & tile flooring upgrades.
My MIL lives here.
We installed a ramp when she hurt her back one time.

Another view of our home.
We have been here 15 years and it will be bittersweet to sell.
We realize that with this economy it is probably not the time to do this
but the good thing is we don't have to.  Whatever will be will be.
We just realize that we need to downsize. Our home is 3000 square feet
and we don't need that much room at this point in our life.
We have prayed about this for a while so whatever HIS will is
will be fine with us.
Part 2 will show the inside of my home.

Today we are thankful for...........Home Sweet Home.

Welcome Home

Remember a couple of posts back when I showed you all the
flowers blooming when we came home from
"Our Little Hilton"(aka hunting cabin)?

Well, when we got home we were blessed with a very clean house too!

"The Honeymooners"(daughter & SIL) came and cleaned our house!

A very clean dust free dining room table.....

This picture is a little dark.
This room is the room we call the "nobody's room".
I guess you can guess why it is called that.
Nobody goes in there!
When we had a house full of kids they used that room
to sit with their boyfriends so they wouldn't have to be in
the "big room" with us.
I guess you can tell that we name our rooms.

I love my guest bathroom!
I really love it when it is sparkling clean!

We have talked about downsizing one day.
If we do, this whirlpool tub will have to go with me!
Wonder what "sweet hunter" would say about that?
I do LOVE my bathtub.

When we moved here this "thing" was hanging over the fireplace as a mantle.
I hated it when it was up there.
When we took it down it was so beautiful we had to find a place to put it so here it is.

If the kitchen sink is not clean, my house is not clean to me.
That is the first thing that Flylady teaches you to do.

This is my "sweet hunters" office.
He is a perfectionist.
If you borrow an ink pen off his desk...he knows it.
Drives me bonkers sometimes!
Anyway, the "honeymooners"
took everything off his desk to clean it.
I asked them how they knew how to place things
back on the desk when they got through.
"Big Sis" said,
"We know how daddy is so we took pictures
so we would not mess anything up."
Is that not hilarious???

We had a tree fall across our drive during a storm.
"Sweet Hunter" had moved it out of the drive but
when we got home....."Lane" (SIL) had cut it up
for firewood so we could take it to "Our Little Hilton".
*************
Thank you to the "honeymooners" for working so hard to bless us!

Today I am thankful for..............our blessings.

238

It took 238 bales of pine straw to landscape our yard!!!
Is that not unreal?
BUT......

Today I am thankful for.................our home.

Snowed In And Loving It!

I am dreaming of a white Christmas at home sweet home!

One of our gates in our pasture.

Our Barn

Isn't he beautiful?

Our Pond

The country road we live on.

One of our picnic tables.

The Hay Bales.

One of our bird feeders.

The picnic table on our deck.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:26

These birds are in the top of the tulip tree.
I love being snowed in with my "Sweet Hunter."

Being snowed in made this Christmas even better!

Neither one of us can remember a white Christmas in our lifetime.
We have about 5 inches over here across the mountain.
Pajamas, chili on the stove, watching a movie, fire
in the fireplace and being  with each other
all snowed in is heaven to us.

Merry Christmas From Our Family To Yours!
