I thought you might enjoy seeing the books & magazines here in this cabin in Blue Ridge Georgia. These are just a few, but I was intrigued by all of them. I was just amazed how many there are. The books are wonderful books. You can tell what kind of people the owners are by the things in the cabin. The owners are friends of my daughter, Mandy. That is how we found out about this cabin. We were just going to stay in a motel but when Mandy found out we were coming she called and we came over and saw this little piece of heaven and received a blessing by getting to stay here. I have thought of my Mom a lot while here. She is a reader and as I have looked around at all of these books and magazines I could just imagine her sitting here on the back porch listening to the water flowing in this little creek as she was reading. We are here to fish but this cabin just makes you want to stay here and do nothing. We will be staying here again.

Of course you thought of me when you saw those Jan Karon books! I love everything she has written! It does show an example of good clean living by looking at their choice of books! Yes, I would love it there!

I can see a great reading retreat!!!! My sister would love that. I, on the other hand, must keep my hands busy.
I am jealous! Charlie is going night fishing tonight with his brother, nephew and a few friends. I hope I can talk him in to taking the camera and bringing me back pictures.
The cabin in the cabin.
Oh how wonderful -- I could sit all day and night looking at those kinds of books and what a restful beautiful place to do it.
