A Special Quilty Day

Here is our Quilt block that we are making this month with our favorite quilt store.

Here it is on the sample quilt that they have hanging on the wall.

Our day started by picking up my grands & heading to my Mom's house. Before we left Mom gave Angel a cute little purse.

Mom was showing Angel & Sweet Teen the baby quilts she is making. You have got to look at Brother. I don't think he really wanted to be with us that day. Here he is yawning.

Here we are at the quilt store. This is my grands first trip to see this store.
They loved it.
Brother was fine as long as he had his ipod to play with.

When we go to this little class there is always a Show n' tell. I was so proud of the quilt that Sweet Teen made for me that I brought it along and asked her if she cared if I showed them.
So look who was first with the show n' tell. I was so proud. Everyone could not believe that she was 15 and already quilting.
After the class the girls were admiring this panel.

Look at this photograph that was hanging on the wall. Pretty house, huh?

Oh my goodness! Look at this little quilt!
The quilt store is actually offering a class on how to do this.
Then we headed to Hancock's Fabric store. My mother bought the girls some fabric and she didn't leave Brother out! Look what he picked! Underneath that fabric is the ipod!

Sweet Teen has her fabric all picked out.
Angel got some too!
Did I tell you all that Angel is making a quilt?

And back to my Moms we go. The girls were so impressed with Mom's Dutch doll quilt!
They listened to every word. By now the ipod is dead and Brother is in the other room ready to go! He was so funny. We had a great day with my Mom! It was a special quilty day. It was a good day.

Thanks for bringing the grands! We had such fun! I know they enjoyed it because they were already looking forward to next time. I think Brother enjoyed it also, because he was always busy the whole time right up to the last 30 minutes when the batteries died! haha

What a GREAT day for all of you!!! (Wellllll..maybe Brother would have chosen another type of store, but at least all the females had a great time!) Do any of your daughters quilt? I'm not recalling you mentioning that, so maybe it skipped a generation...LOL

What a fun day for all of you. Sweet Teen really has an eye for combining colors and patterns. I love the little quilt she and Angel are holding up. Lots of quilting going on in that family.

It looks like a perfect day for all of you and I am so glad that ST was eager to share her work.

That house quilt is just amazing!!! Wouldn't it be fun to make?

They close our Hancocks and I soooo miss it. Now we only have a JoAnns for fabrics other than quilting.
