The colorful birds really decorate the trees and look beautiful in the snow. I love to hear the birdsong of the towhee.
I loved seeing your cardinal in the previous post, but to be able to look out your window and see these colorful birds at any time is really a treat! Thank you for sharing your view, Val! :-}pokey
Val they're so beautiful - and hungry, lol! I need to get outside and see if I can find any. We don't have any feeders in our yard but our neighbor does!
Thanks for your comment, you are right, you can give a gift of love everyday. Enjoyed your bird pictures, i ran out of bird seed Friday and my hubby when and got me a big bag today. I loves to eat my lunch out on the deck and watch the bird in the summer months when i have the time . Stay warm and have a Happy New YEAR!
Caring for and watching the birds bring me so much joy! The goldfinches, however, don't care for me, apparently, as they rarely visit my thistle feeder! But the house finches, purple finches, towhees, cardinals, titmice, sparrows, doves, woodpeckers, nuthatches and more, keep me entertained!
And by the way, my friend got home fine - no problem! Thanks, Becky
Oh wow Val, what gorgeous photos. My eyes feasted on them - all the Christmas glitz and glitter was enough and now these photos were delightful to look at.
I just ran across your blog over at Joyful Reflections and decided to stop by. I enjoyed your Gatlinburg trip pictures. We have a unit at Town Squre and will be heading up in early February.
Hi Valerie, Isn't it fun to watch the birds flock to the feeders when the weather is bad? Ours do the same thing... We have almost the same birds --except I haven't seen a Towhee around here in awhile. They are so pretty.
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas ---and will have a blessed New Year. Hugs, Betsy
Haha, when I look at your pictures of all those birds I can't help but think ... "I wonder how many 50lb bags of birdseed she goes through in a winter?" I've already gone through almost 4 bags now. Love those birds but they sure do eat a lot! Cathy
I'm so jealous of your beautiful birds, especially the cardinals. We used to see a lot of those when we lived in St. Louis. How wonderful to see God's creation all around you like that! Thanks for sharing your pictures.
How did you get such good pics? Everytime I go to the window or step outside all the birds fly away. You have such a great assortment of colorful birds...the towhee, love the red finch and all the yellow ones too. The Cardinals are in rare color (KY state bird). Love, love, love....I am an avid bird watcher! Love to see all the birds at the feeders.. Blessings to you Val!
Hi there Valerie, I always enjoy your post so much! I was listening tonight to one of the songs on you playlist and wondered if you new where I could find the album-- it was Amazing grace by Ed Cummings.I would appreciate it if you had any info on this--Have a blessed week-Rosann
Rosie, I really don't know the answer to your question other than try Amazon or ebay. Let me know if you find it. I hope you get this answer because you are a no reply blogger so I didn't have an email. Thank you for visiting my blog. I love my playlists too. I turn it on when I am here alone at home and it is so peaceful.

You're poor birds look confused in all that white stuff. Glad you're cozy and warm and snowed in! Have fun and enjoy!

What beautiful birds. So colourful and different from ours.
Cardinals are my favorite birds. How lucky you are to have so many visit your yard.

What a great friend to our feathered friends this winter! Seems like they all enjoy your offerings.
Happy New Year Val!

Your local birds seem to be having fun in the snow.
Happy New Year from Southern California. No snow here but a lot of rain storms and mud slides!
I hope you and your family had a Wonderful Christmas Celebration.
God Bless You, ~Ron
Ok, now I know you have a great new camera! I need one really badly to photograph my birds! Love the pics!
