Christmas Sewing At Our Little Hilton

I have 5 special girls in my mind for these hair twisties for Christmas!
I don't really care if they see them on here because I am devoting this year to
sewing them some special things.  See this black towel.  I purchased it a long time ago
and I love it.  You twist it up around her wet hair and it dries it so quick.

So I went and purchased some terry cloth to make some for Christmas presents.
Since I don't shop, I am way ahead on my Christmas list thanks to Allie!!

We were at the Hilton (aka hunting cabin) so I got my little featherweight out
and made a pattern and started sewing.

I love to sew when "sweet hunter" is out turkey hunting.
I had so much fun!
I just love turkey hunting at the Hilton!

This is the first one I made.

I even added the loop to hang it up with but I got so excited sewing these up
that I forgot to add the loop to the others but thats ok.

I think it turned out pretty good!!!

And now there are 5!!!!

Then I saw all the scraps that I had laying there and I got to thinking.

Another light bulb moment??

So I sewed up a few make-up remover cloths from the scraps.
So here they are ready for Christmas presents!
I am linking up with Allie with her Christmas Through The Year!
I am also linking up with Peg & Kris with the One Project A Month (OPAM)!!
March: 23 Projects completed!
Thanks for the encouragement!!!!

Today I am thankful for........time to sew!

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Ecclesiastes 9:10

O VAl!
I know you have to feel so tickled.I am so happy for you.It makes you feel a little bit like a "secret service person" who is sneaking along and when Christmas is upon us once again - you will not have to fight those last minute crowds. Doesn't that sound good? :-)

Val...my sister was just telling me about the one she has and she loves it. What a great idea! The girls are going to love them. The make up removers are neat, too! Who can't use those? Pink is such a soothing color for these type of things. Good job! What's next?

I LOVE THESE! Val, you have to model one to show me how it works. I need to make one! Or should I say, AT LEAST one!

What a great idea! I hate using a great big thick towel for my hair every day, it sure adds to the laundry! The little make up removers are great too, just the right size.

I know how you feel about the quiet and the chance to just do what you want or do nothing. That's how I feel at the lake in the fall and winter. Of course the summer is filled with company and nonstop activity and I love that too. I need to get a little sewing machine to keep at the lake.

I have that exact crock pot! ha! Have had it for a long time!!!
