Just Do It

Yes, it is dishcloths again!!!
One of my goals for Christmas this year
is to make my girls 1 dozen each.
And yes, it is ok for my girls to know they are getting these for gifts.
And by the way, the pattern is on the inside of this label on the yarn.

So you will be seeing a lot of these great dishcloths.
I love this peaches and cream yarn.
It makes the perfect dishcloth.
Do you see that little container?
It is a Crystal light container!

It makes the perfect thing to hold crochet needles, little scissors, etc.
I carry one in my little bag everywhere I go.

I made the yellow and white one and the red one last night
during the FNSI with Heidi and Bobbi!
Thanks for all the motivation!

This is what I have so far!
I am going to continue making red ones until I get a dozen
and then I will move on to another color.
I am also linking up to Allie's Christmas Through The Year and the
OPAM (One project a Month) with Peg and Kris!

Then I worked on this stitchery.
DO NOT enlarge this or you will laugh your head off!
(notice I did not show a close up).
I am just learning and I figured that this is the best
way to learn.
Practice makes perfect I hope.
Anyway, I am having fun doing it.
I bought several of these kits at a thrift store
a while back and just decided to get one out and JUST DO IT!

Today I am thankful for.....Motivation!

I love the crocheted dishcloths. I gave my daughter a dozen for Christmas last year. She's asked for another dozen this year along with a dozen for her daughter.

I think you're too hard on yourself about your stitching. I enlarged it and it looks fine to me. Your kids and grandkids will love them.

Val, I can crochet but have never used a crocheted dishcloth. Are they not real heavy when they get wet? Do you put them in the dryer when you wash them? I have been meaning to ask because so many folks comment on how they love them. Okay fill me in. Might just have to make me some. Love the stitchey. Wow girl you are doing hard stuff. Good luck with it. Enjoy your weekend.

How smart you are to work on these handy dishcloths throughout the year. I also love your stitchery - way to go finding them at the thrift store! Enjoy your Sunday Val.

Val, I am addicted to making the dishcloths! I am also addicted to giving them away! It's amazing how just a little dish cloth makes someone's day. I have given one to a lady who owns a plant nursery we visit each spring, to a friend for birthdays, to my two aunts, and they all love them! A little gift with big results! Becky

Valerie, you certainly are keeping busy. What wonderful projects you are working on. I love the white on white embroidery! So pretty. Don't under-estimate yourself.
All of things you make are so good and they make wonderful gifts. And the dish cloths are great. Your girls are going to love having that many. I, too was wondering if they are heavy when they get wet and how do they wash? I may have to get some Peaches and Creme yarn and start one.

Take care and hope you get to the Hilton soon.

LOVE Peaches and Cream yarn, it's such lovely stuff to work with - and the dishcloths made from it are my favorite! Unfortunately, all of mine are packed away, dh hates them.

Val, I clicked the pic and your stitching looks fine. Just keep on with it! You're doing great!
