I think I am hooked! Several years ago I told my sweet honey that I
would not go back trout fishing with him....ever. He had took me on this big huge side of
a mountain and I was hanging from trees just thinking how many snakes were around me everywhere while he made it down to a beautiful waterfall that I never saw.
Nevertheless, I am not climbing down the side of mountains, but I have

any before we left Saturday so I just took my rubber boots.
They don't work as good as waders!
We saw 3 big snakes. I don't like snakes!

some different places. We had a ball!
I even learned how to tie on my own hook!
I am so proud!

Most of the fish were caught right down from our condos!
This weekend was a spur of the moment trip. We had just returned from Helen a couple of weeks ago but we have the trout fishing bug! I can't believe that I am loving it like I do.
My daughter Maranda, & Lane went with us but they didn't fish. They fixed lots of good food and just enjoyed the rest & relaxation. It was a great trip and I am already ready to go back!
I just cannot believe that I love trout fishing!

I have never tried trout fishing...but I sure do like pond fishing...preferably with minnows. You know if we don't do some of these things with our husbands they could seek some one that would...not saying your husband or mine would - but there are men out there that would. Go when they go!
Sounds like a very relaxing, fun weekend. Hope the rain was not too heavy.
Sounds like you had a really nice time. I've never been trout fishing, but we've done our share of fishing for bass, specks, and even Tarpon!
I love trout fishing, Val. We would go each year when the kids were younger and all I ever did was untangle lines. Now....I can sit on the bank, watch the kids untangle their kid's lines and love every minute of it. I Hate snakes too. If I thought there were snakes where we fish I might change my mind about fishing!!!! My hubby told me that snakes do NOT live at such an altitude - 10,000 feet so I hope he is right.
I am so glad you had such a great time! No wonder you love to go there, it is such a gorgeous place!
I can't believe you didn't take pics of the snakes! :)
Good for you, you gave it a second try and look what happened. Now, we probably won't see you on your blog as much... you'll be out trout fishing.
These are great photos! Now I've found something we don't have in common, fishing. Maybe if I tried....nah, it's not me. :D
How cool! I love trout fishing with my fly rod. Like you, I cannot abide snakes whatsoever and would be imagining them lurking about just waiting to get me.
Fishing can be so much fun...without the snakes!
Just look at the two of you...so cozy and fishy smelling!
It sounds like a great trip!
I think that I would love to do that too!
I went fishing once...long ago... luckily I never touched the worm. Ick. Sorry about your soggy sock, nothing more uncomfortable than a soggy sock, but it looks and sounds like you had a great time. :-)
But, BUT, BUT!!! there's worms when you fish! No TY, I don't like critters. Looks like you all had a good time. TTFN ~ Marydon
Looks like so much fun!
