I have discovered that I need to do things that can be finished quickly. |
I went to a baby shower a few months ago and saw a no sew blanket done and it was so cute. A young teenager had made it and I just loved it. Hers was a bigger blanket made for a crib. |
So I went to "You Tube" and learned how to make a small baby blanket. |
I needed a baby gift for a sweet little friend and wanted to make her something from my heart. |
So I got busy and had so much fun!!! |
Here is my finished blanket. I just love it! |
Here it is ready to put in a gift bag! |
Then my little "Angel" spent the afternoon with me and she saw the extra fabric I had and wanted to learn how to make one. |
So she got busy and together we made another blanket. It is smaller but is just perfect because "Angel" helped make it. |
Didn't she do a great job? |
Then I got busy and made a couple of burp cloths to go with my gift. |
I just love to do projects that I can see finished quickly. |

What a sweet baby gift! It looks like such a cozy blanket.
I have made alot of these over the years. I just love them! They're so soft and warm, nothing beats them. What a nice gift they make.
What A lovely Quilt very lucky baby I am sure The Mum will love your gifts.
Hugs Mary.
I'm like you in wanting to do make things that are quick and easy. The fleece blankets are so soft and warm for babies. Burp cloths are the perfect thing for a new baby. They go through lots of them. It looks like the little blanket Angel made might be the perfect size for covering a little one when it's in the car seat.
I love the way you're making memories by teaching your grands to craft.
Angel is so cute. Don't you just love it when they want to craft with you? Love the blanket, looks so soft, and the material for the burp cloths is so pretty. Some young lady will be so lucky to get the gifts. Love the way you tied the large ribbon around the gifts. Enjoy the memories you're making with Angel.
That is a very sweet gift! and I couldnt agree more..those fast projects are so much fun!
Angel is adorable!
I love the blankets, and I love that you are so lucky to have your sweet grandchildren to teach about making things and spend time with them. Blessings, Becky
What a sweet blanket. And so quick to make up.
What a lovely blanket and a great idea for a gift for my daughter who is due any day now. Thank you x
That is a very cute blanket, and I know you had fun with Angel making it.
Cute little blanket, nothing like spending time with a little one doing something you both like doing. :^)
THAT is an adorable baby blanket. Wonder if I could do it without messing up>? Chuckle!
Hope all is well with you ... I have been remiss, but am getting back on track.
Have a beautiful weekend ~

Just precious, Val, that's a perfect baby gift! So pretty!
I have another blogging friend who makes those types of blankets and I remember the first time I'd seen how she made them, I was fascinated that there was no sewing involved! The recipient of your blanket and burp cloths will truly love them:-) I love the fact that Angel takes after you for loving to make things and she certainly did do a beautiful job on her own blanket!! xoxo
I just bought some fleece to make a small blanket for my granddaughter. She'll be with me this weekend and I thought we'd give it a try. She's almost 4 so I'm not sure if she's old enough, but we'll give it a try. If not we can always save it for when she's older. Isn't it fun to be able to finish a project in a short amount of time?
