Everyone Is Dealing With Something....

I have been noticing lately that everyone has something to deal with. My friend Rachelle taught me that we are either going into a trial, in the midst of a trial, or coming out of a trial. I see so many hurting people. When they ask at Church if you have an unspoken request, I would dare say it is almost 100% of the people that raise their hand.
I saw my cousins family, just go through losing Carole. I watched Carole go through her trial for years as I visited her. She had been bedridden for 11 years and sick for 13 years. I have watched my best friend, Vicki lose her mom after a long illness and then lose her sister who also had suffered a long time. Now as her daddy is in rehab after having 3 strokes, I feel for her and her family. He is doing well though. Thank you for the prayers. Vicki says her motto is "One day at a Time". Some good friends at church recently lost their son unexpectantly. I heard about my sister n law taking care of her son who had kidney stones, & then she got very sick with a virus. I have children that are dealing with health issues. I know many others that are dealing with cancer, and other health problems.. I know some that are dealing with family members on drugs & alcohol. I have a friend that is waiting on a liver transplant. My friend, Krista's dad went through triple by pass surgery today. Please keep him in your prayers. I know of many divorces and single parents. I could go on and on and you could too.
I had something to deal with today that is nothing compared to the loved ones that I just talked about, but this trial really got my nerves today. Sometimes we forget where our help comes from. I don't know if I forgot today, or just reacted first. I guess I am just human. I have always heard that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. My mom sent me an email that says. "This Too Shall Pass" and it always does. These trials are only temporary. Once I got on my knees, the problem was still there, but I had more strength to deal with it. I felt like a little baby when my husband came home as he encouraged & held me. I thought to myself that this is what we are like with our Lord. We are like a baby in the palm of HIS hand. I received the picture above in an email a while back and thought it would go well with this post. We go through trials to make us stronger. Our Pastor preached a wonderful message yesterday about Praise and how we need to use it more. We all have battles to fight. We all have tests to pass. So the next time I go through something, I need to remember that "My help comes from the Lord", "This too Shall Pass" & "One Day At a Time". I am not alone. Everyone has something to deal with.

Psalm 121:4 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

What would we do without our Lord to call to in times of difficulty! He is always there to comfort us and He knows it all. I agree with your pastor, that we should praise God in good times and in the difficult times. It is comforting to know that He is there for us holding us in His love just as the picture you displayed on this post.

Your words made me cry today! I seem to be a waterworks lately. Not to give you to long of a comment but I often sing the words of a song that says:

Through it ALL, Through it ALL, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God, Through it ALL, Through it ALL, I've learned to depend upon His Word!

So so true. I see people around me and think "they aren't going through what I am. . ." and drive by my neigbhors with nice big homes and fancy cars and think "hey they seem to be doing so well". But I think if we opened the doors of everyone's home we'd see we wouldn't trade our problems for theirs.

Tears came to my eyes as I read this post.

I've had one stressfully day and I'm tired. All three of my little girls are sick and I'm hurting because I can't do anything else for them.

Thank you for your encouragement I do need to take my everyday problems to God more often.
