For 2 weeks now I have planned to put the binding on my 25 year old quilt. Everyday comes and goes and something always seems to take priority. My plans today were not to leave the house and get this quilt done. I started my day by going and cutting cabbage and broccoli out of my garden. I am really proud how good my fall garden has done. I came in and washed my broccoli & cabbage and froze it. My "Sweet honey" had went deer hunting so I knew I needed to cook something to eat. I thought I would cook enough for supper also because then I could get busy on the quilt. I started cooking & cooking & cooking!

All these recipes will be on my Cooking Blog in the next few days. This was the first time that I have ever fixed this chicken recipe, and it was wonderful if I do say so myself. My "Sweet Honey" was eating and looked up and said, "Have you already finished the quilt?" As I was washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen & feeling really tired........I just laughed.
I already have a ham in the oven, baked beans and potato salad fixed for tomorrows Sunday lunch and supper. I am determined that after church I will start on the binding on this quilt. I sure hope so! I sure am glad there is always tomorrow.

Note: My "Sweet daughter" just read this blog and she informed me that there really isn't always tomorrow! This is so true!

Tomorrows have a way of making their own way! It is going to take a lot of sacrifice on your part to do something for yourself, and that is quilting! I know you take such good care of your family, and the fact that you make all your "todays" so full of love for others is beautiful. You know you love every moment of that cooking talent of yours also! But tomorrow? hmmmm we will see what you do with it.
As always, looks and sounds delicious- your family is so blessed to have such a wonderful cook around! Most importantly, it's obvious that your most important ingredient is always love...

Can we come live with you? You are always in the garden or the kitchen and somewhere in between manage to find a needle and thread. You are the inspiration to us wanting to grow more veggies. I have told my husband all about you. As far as tomorrow....God Knows!

Unfortunately every Sunday I say I will start a diet on Monday, where does time go? I guess it goes with all the other things we do. Your cooking looks amazing, I will need to check these recipes out!!!
About the milkweed, which I am just learning is the host plant for Monarchs. I have also read that it reseeds itself. I have the Silky Gold one, I think it comes in red too. I can hardly wait until spring/summer to see the life cycle of the Monarch. I am working on a butterfly garden.
