We had to go pick up our boat last week before they let the water down at the lake. We started our day at one of our favorite places to eat breakfast. It was a beautiful day so we decided to fish just a little. There were bait fish jumping everywhere so my "Sweet Honey" got the net and threw it and caught the shad so easily. He caught a lot in the net and we were ready to go! We fished for a couple of hours and didn't catch but one fish!!! So we decided to load the boat up and go get something to eat. It was so nice just to get away even just for the day. The colors were so beautiful and the lake looked like glass. The fishing was lousy, but the scenery was just gorgeous.

Looks like you were in God's country there! I am glad you could take a day to get away, even tho you had to take the boat out of the lake for the winter. Wow look at all those fish!
Val: Sometimes it is enough to get out on the lake without catching fish. Your camera caught some nice photos on the trip.
Thanks for the visit and the comments.
Just being there was worth it, I'm sure. It looked gorgeous.
It looks so peaceful! I'm glad that you & Randy had a day away from the hustle & bustle of life.
Sounds like such a great day, glad you got to enjoy the lake one more day.
You've got some great photos there. Fall days are so beautiful.
being out on a lake is one of my favourite things to do. our boat need repair so i am looking forward to next year.
looks like you had a beautiful, peaceful day.
How lovely it looks too. When I vacation in Florida ( as often as I can ), there are few things I enjoy as much as fishing, it's just so relaxing. Thanks for visiting me...have a super evening, and may God Bless you.
It must have been a wonderful day with your Sweet Honey! Thanks for sharing with us!
