My First Annie Doll

Here she is...."My First Annie Doll"

I joined an Annie Doll Swap with Aunt Pitty Pats
I have never made an Annie Doll before.

My Swap Partner is Sherry W.! Her blog is great. You need to check it out! I would not be showing you the doll but she has let me know that she received it. I hope she loves it. I had so much fun making it and can't wait to make another one.
I am like a kid at Christmas waiting on her doll that she is sending me! We think it will be here tomorrow. I can't wait.
Can you believe that I actually painted her face and shoes and socks on?
I am not a painter but I did it!

This is the back of her! I sure hope that is not paint on her little white sock.

I have to tell you all that I had so much fun making this doll. Thank you Aunt Pitty Pat for including me. Thank you Sherry for understanding this one is my first! I have to tell you all though once I started making her I thought to myself.....why? I have never made a doll so why?

Then my 14 year old granddaughter came in one day and saw her and she fell in love with her. Now you know about 14 year old teens. She used to do everything I did but not now. Well, this got her attention and you would not believe the pretty little doll that she is making. She is almost through with it. She has done a great job and loves doing it. She told me that she stayed up until 11:30 working on her hair and had so much fun. This was all worth it! She is in the process of painting her face now. Tris wants to be in a swap also. How much fun will that be? I am planning to work on another one next week. It was so much fun!

Congratulations on finishing your first Raggedy Ann doll. She is so cute and I love the little dress you made her.
I love to make Raggedy Ann dolls too...you can never make a mistake with them and they always put a smile on your face. Now she just needs a little quilt too. LOL

You are so clever, this is lovely, we dont have Raggedy Anne dolls in the UK but I remember being given one on one of my visits to the USA, I got an Andy too but that was years ago and I no longer have them.

LOL!!! I am not sure which is more impressive - creating the sweet Annie doll (she has such personality) or impressing a 14 year old.:-)
