Simple Woman's Daybook Entry #3

For Today...............Jan. 25, 2010

Outside my window........................ the sun is peeking through the trees and glistening on the pond and the creek. That tells me that after all this rain that Joy does comes in the morning.

I am thinking................................... how things can change from one week to the next. Nothing ever stays the same. Where would we be without our Lord?

I am thankful...................................that I KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW. Just think of the ones who don't know.

I am wearing....................................blue Pajamas and black socks. I really match, don't I?

I am remembering..........................how I always thought that when my children grew up that I wouldn't have to worry anymore. Boy was I wrong! My Grandma always told me that when they are young they step on your toes but when they are older they step on your heart. So true.

I am going.........................................to do some much needed work.

I am currently reading...................The Covenant by Beverly Lewis in my "down"time.

I am hoping for................................answered prayers.

On my mind.....................................I have always been taught that you cannot worry and pray. It is one or the other.

Noticing that..................................we are either going into a trial, in the midst of a trial, or coming out of a trial. Thank the Lord for HIS blessings that give us hope.

Pondering these words.................. "When you have done all to stand, STAND THEREFORE."

From the kitchen............................Chicken and Dumplings and chocolate cake.

Around the home............................I plan on decluttering some today.

One of my favorite things..............my blogging Prayer Warriors that I can always count on.

I am praying for.......................right choices and wisdom.

From my picture journal..............

Yes...there is one in every family (and families who say otherwise, I suspect are not being truthful). You are in my prayers.

Valerie,
I love your comments . What a lovely way to start your day.
You had asked about my embroidery machine-my first one was a Bernina Deco -which I wore out and now I have a BrotherPE70011 . I wanted it because you can hook it directly to your computer and it eliminates lots of hassles.I just love the opportunity to "customize" my projects specially for whom ever I am making things for.

I enjoyed your journal posts so much. I can relate to so many of your answers. I too was one of the people that thought once your children were grown up you wouldn't worry any more but I was wrong on that one! I have to give it over to the Lord so many times when I fall into the worry pit. I don't like to know when my son is working on a big account because I just fret and stew over it and hope he gets it. AND of course when the children grow up the grands come along and there is so much in the world now, I can't imagine what it's going to be like even when they are teens! Again I have to pray for protection for them and leave it in God's hands. Thank you for such a lovely post!

Hey Valerie,
I enjoyed your day book. I would love to have some of those yummy dumplings.
I have heard that worrying is a sin. We have to take our concerns to the Lord and leave them there. I have a picture that says "Let Go, And Let God". I know it is hard to do that. I've been having the same problem. I finally prayed and said, Here God, I leave it with you.
Daughter and I talked on Monday. I gave her a little advice. She agreed with me. She is doing so much better.
Thank you for praying,
Mama Bear

"Many people perish because of lack of knowledge." This verse came to mind after reading the thing you're thankful for.

This is my first visit to your garden and loved it.

Have a great day!

I love chicken and dumplings if they are homemade. I ordered some at The Dixie cafe two weeks ago and had to throw them our because they were canned. Yuck. I enjoyed your daybook. I have always thought worrying was not only a waste of time but a lack of faith. Pray instead of worrying. I'm glad you have a strong faith. Doylene
