30 Minutes A Day & OPAM

One of my daughters friends asked her if I would consider making a baby quilt for a gift.
I am not a professional but I said yes.
I had so much fun doing this for her.
This is after I quilted it on my machine before I squared it up.
I used masking tape to try to keep my lines straight.
They are not perfect but Granny says there is no such thing as a perfect quilt.

This is showing the back after I did the quilting before the binding was on.
I worked on this 30 minutes here and there and finished it today.

I did the binding with some fleece that is white with blue stars on it.
I added the lace to just to jazz it up some.
I wish it showed the binding better but it still looks pretty good.

This is a close up view of the corner.

I thought it turned out pretty cute.
You can see more of the binding on the back of it.
I really appreciate Marandas friend having the confidence in me to do this for her.
I am proud of it.
I went and delivered it to her today.
Maranda said that she loved it.
I loved doing it. It was so much fun.
Thank you Kathy!!!

Very cute. I love it.

I lived fairly close to Amish when I lived in Ohio. They told me that they make sure that there is a mistake in every quilt. Rembember that there is only one Perfect One. I remember this everytime I see an Amish Quilt.

It is wonderful to praise God with the smallest things.

This is a beautiful gift that you made your friend and you should be very proud of yourself.

Valerie,
Just a note, This baby quilt my daughter truly loved. Her baby is due in April and she is already talking about bringing baby home in it. Everyone at the shower just had a fit over it. You truly are a gift.

Thank you again,
Kathy Bortney
