The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today March 16, 2010 from my journal:

Outside my window........... it is dark. I don't like the time change right now, do you? When it warms up, I will probably love having more day to work in the garden but for now, I don't like it. I went to Granny's yesterday and she asked me why they just don't leave it alone. I agree.

I am thinking.........how much fun it was to wake up at 5 A.M. this morning and go to the Waffle House with my sweet honey.

I am thankful.........for the freedom we have.

I am wearing.........Brown Jogging Suit

I am remembering..........when I could sleep a whole night without waking.

I am going..........to work.

I am currently reading.........emails!!!!

I am hoping............for a peaceful day.

On my mind...........The story of Lazarus and the rich man. (Luke 16:19-31)

Noticing that...........I need to keep my focus.

I am creating...........another baby quilt. My sweet honey asked me to make one for a customer who has had a baby. I took that as a great compliment from him.

Pondering these words............We have victory In Jesus! (words from my friend Julie-we have never met in "real life" but are such great friends. She encourages me everyday.)

From The kitchen.............Taco Soup

Around the house.............Needs a little TLC.

One of my favorite things............being spontaneous.

I am wishing.............for us to get our hunting cabin livable!!

I am praying for...........good choices.

From my picture journal...............This is where we found our youngest grand when we went to visit him the other day!! So sweet!

I'm not crazy about the time change either. I don't understand how we're "saving" daylight. It seems like we're just moving it from one end to the other! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I hope today is a happy one.

I love your daybook, too. I am also confused about Daylight Savings Time and how it helps anything, but I do enjoy the lighter evenings in the summer. Your grandbaby is adorable. Can't wait to see the new baby blanket you are making.

Boy....can I relate to the sleeping soundly all night. I am so tired of bein up for several hours each night. They say it is an "aging" thing.

On the other hand, I LOVE this time change. I do NOT like the fall one.

I hate the time change - it takes me weeks to recover, spring or fall. You're in my prayers!

That is so delightful to see the pic of your grandchild, mine are in their late teens.
We change back from Daylight Saving in early April.....I would prefer not to go on DST myself.
Love reading your daybook.

I always enjoy reading your daybook entries. You speak from the heart.

Time change always takes me a bit of getting used to also. Better this was then in the fall, I don't like that even though it means an extra hour sleep. I'm already awake anyhow so that extra hour doesn't mean anything.

What a beautiful precious baby!!!!!

I agree about the time change. About the time I get used to one, it is time to change again!
YOU got up at 5 am? Wow I am impressed!
Keep the faith, God is aware of all the things we are concerned about.

The Waffle House early in the morning sounds good, even though I've never been to one.
Another baby in this world is going to be blessed with one of your beautiful quilts. :-)
You're the greatest.
