My Mom & I go to our favorite quilt store the first Saturday of every month for a class called the Saturday Sampler. Here my Mom is showing me this beautiful quilt on the wall.
This is the owner of Lavender Lime Quilt Store. This link leads to their blog. The owners name is Kathy. She is one of the nicest people ever! She shows us so many things in this little class. She gives us so much information. I wish I had a recording of it all.
These little blocks were hanging on the wall at the Lavender Lime Quilt Store. . This link leads to our favorite store! I just loved these black and white blocks!
Here she is showing us this sampler.
Isn't it beautiful?
Each month we get the fabric with directions to make a block in a sampler quilt.
This is the display she had while explaining how to put it together.
This is the actual block in the sampler quilt.
This is the sampler quilt. I am so far behind!
I need to get busy.
I always walk around the store and just take pictures of all the new things.
If I am not mistaken, this is a quilt that was made in a class from the Elm Creek Quilts.
Oh my goodness! Look at this!
I just love it!
This is a quilt that Kathy designed. It is made from Christmas fabrics and I think the name of it is......By Candlelight. Oh this has surely made me get in the sewing mood. I think tomorrow afternoon will be the day........I hope!

In our class Kathy told us that we must sit in this chair to see how comfortable it is. It is cute but I surely didn't know that it would be this comfy until I sat in it. I WANT it!

Please keep my Mom & family in your prayers. Her brother passed away yesterday. I know that he will be missed but Mom says that he was ready to meet the Lord.

My condolences go out to your mom and also to you, Valerie.
Thank you for sharing pictures of the quilt store. I am in awe of the creative work on those beautiful quilts. Amazing. :-)
You're right about it getting you in the sewing mood. I'm washing my new fabric to start on, hopefully, a summer dress. Have a great weekend. :-)
So many neat things to look at. Thanks for sharing!
Val if I ever get up your way, I will have to find that quilt shop. So sorry to hear of your uncle's passing. I know your Mom came from a large family.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Thank you for showing us the quilt shop. I do love that first quilt as I really love green!
My prayers go out to you and your family on the loss of your uncle. I'll say a special prayer at church tomorrow also.
That quilt store looks like someplace that I could get lost in. I'd probably have to call for an increase on the credit card. LOL I love beautiful fabrics.
I'm sorry to hear about your Uncle, Val. Please accept my deepest sympathy to you, your Mom and the rest of your family.
Sincerely,
Susannah

Valerie, thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
I enjoyed touring yours...how lucky of you to enjoy those monthly quilting sessions together. I am in awe of your sampler project.
Please pass along my condolences to your Mom for her recent loss.
I really loved that chair! And the "by candlelight" quilt. It is for the shop hop.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words about my brother going home to be with the Lord.
I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle.
I'm lovin all those quilts. Someday I'm going to learn how to do that. They are so gorgeous.
So sorry for your loss Val. Thanks for the quilt tour. I just love the green quilt that your Mom is standing by. Oh my goodness, it's gorgeous! The candlelight quilt is another fav. They are all beautiful. I will have to see if my hubby can build me a sewing cabinet. I'm sick of my sewing machine sitting on my dining table.

That quilt shop looks fabulous, but that little chair is fabulous!!! I also like the lime green sewing table.
