This blog is and always will be dedicated to my Sweet Hunter, our children & Grands now and one day our Great Grands after I am gone. Thank you all for your visit! Come sit for a spell! Welcome to the farm!
O Wow! One of my very favorite flowers. I used to have a beautiful bed of them , but by the time they got big enough to bloom and me fall in love with them all over again - it would frost and that would be the end of them. Then I would dig them up and start the process over again come Spring.
I Adore the way you captured the birth of that blossom like it was time lapsed !
Hey! I think my first comment was eaten by the internet monster so I'm going to try again. I love your flowers and I hope you are having a great summer!

I am so behind on my blog reading that honestly, I've just flat out skipped many but the pictures of your dahlias really caught my eye. How beautiful! Thanks for posting.
Your Dahlias are so beautiful! I used to have Dahlias called Oh Canada, they were red and white and always so full of blooms but last year I don't know what happened but the plant died on me and I couldn't even save the bulb. I'm going to look for another one when I go buy my Impatiens and Petunias this week. Have a lovely week my friend. xoxo
Val - I have to tell you a story about one of my quilts from Granny. I was at a baseball game for one of my boys last night and had one of her quilts on my lap - Another Mom said "I always notice you with a different quilt on your lap when it's chilly out here".. then I told her the story of Granny's and how I got the quilt. I got a little chocked up telling the story of Granny and I didn't even know her. I always have a sense of peace when I'm under one of her quilts. Thank you for sharing her with me.

Your dahlias are beautiful! I like how you started with a picture of the bud and then progressed to the full bloom. Gorgeous!
