Friday Night Sew In

I just realized that the FNSI was tonight !!
Thank you Bobbi and Heidi!!
I have been busy crocheting for my daughter's baby shower
and I knew that I could not show you that yet so
I went and found some fabric and got busy!

And I made these pajama pants just for me
or they might possibly be for a Christmas gift!!
I am also linking up with Peg & Kris with OPAM
and Allie for Christmas through the year!

These pictures are not good because of the blinds
but I wanted to show you what was on our bird feeder yesterday!
Enlarge picture to see better.

Look really close!

It is a raccoon!
We could not believe that it was out in broad daylight!

I tried to snap a picture of it going down the pole
but all I could capture is it's hind legs and tail as it went down.

And then I wanted to show you this!

Aren't they darling?

I LOVE watching my hummingbirds!

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR.........time spent with a friend.

I like the hummingbirds much better than the coon, coons are certainly pesky country creatures, aren't they? He will be back!

I did not sew Friday night but I did sew Thursday night and a little during the day on Friday.

hope you have a nice weekend

Oh, I love the hummingbirds! I would love to have a multiple feeder like that! My hummingbirds fight all the time about who gets to feed!
Raccoon must have really been hungry!

I've got a hummingbird feeder, but I've only seen one hummingbird since we moved here. We've got a metal banter to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder. It really works, much to the squirrels frustration.

Guess I should have read your post before sending the e-mail. Guess there is no baby yet. Love the pictures of the bird feeder. A racoon? We have squirrels that keep our feeder empty. Poor little birdies. I love the hummingbirds. I can see them at our feeder as I lay in bed in early mornings. Thanks for sharing.

I am having so much fun this summer watching my "little buddies" - the hummingbirds! Last night they were so comical. One was trying to keep all the other ones away. They really had me laughing.

Great looking pj pants. And that raccon must have been really hungry!!!!

We enjoy watching our hummingbirds too. If we happen to forget to fill their feeder, they'll hoover right in front of us as if saying... "Hey, where's lunch." lol

Your pajama pants are super cute in the multi-coloured polka dot fabric. Great FNSI result.

O I LOVE seeing your "coon-bird"! LOL I am betting it was a "lady" . One year I had my guinea pigs outdoors in sliding cages that I moved all over the place so they had fresh grass all the time.

One morning I went to move all the cages and it was a terrible sight! Little guinea pig bodies were thrown everywhere and the cages were ripped to pieces . I was devastated. I called our local wildlife man and told him what had happened and he offered to loan me a live capture cage. When I went to pick it up he told me that he was betting I would not catch what did the damage because he thought it had to be a full grown Boar coon.He said that the males can travel a 30 mile radius and would have moved on. He also said that he had seen them tear CHIMNEYS off of houses to get at something they want.

He was right - I did not capture it and have not seen it again - (Thank goodness)

Then one night last year we were coming home down our little country road & in the headlights were a Mama coon and 8 babies dancing all over the road. They were so funny - like little banded clowns. We did not harm then, but later that year we had war with them over my chickens.

Those cooons are crafty critters aren't they? I've had to reinforce my garbage bin to keep them out.
But oh, I love the hummingbirds. They surely are one of God's best designs.

GREAT pajama pants, girl! Wow, a racoon out in daytime on a bird feeder - that's amazing. The hummingbirds are so pretty!

Can't believe that coon. I've never heard of them at a feeder.
