I just realized that I haven't caught up on "Our Little Hilton" posts! For those of you that don't know, this is our little humble hunting cabin. See the deer? |
We put a trail camera on a tree facing the little cabin and never expected to see deer right up here at the house. See the deer on the left. |
I don't think I have ever shown the outside of the little Hilton so here it is. See the shingles on the outside? I started nailing them on but that is as far as I got. |
We just could not believe that the deer came that close. |
And another little visitor....a fox! |
I will try to catch up on these posts soon. |
I am just so amazed by this. Looks like she wants me to build a fire so she can sit and enjoy it! lol |
I don't like foxes being that close. |
But at least it is not the BEAR! ********************* Don't forget to stop my daughter's new Blog and see what kind of Valentine's Day she had!!! Bless her heart! Click HERE! Thank you all for all the sweet comments on her blog!!! I LOVE my blogging buddies! |

4 legged animals are always better than 2 legged ones!
Great pictures of your "little Hilton". We have deer in abundance in our back yard here...they like to come up and eat the leftover berries in the crabapple trees.

I'd be making a LOT of noise anytime I was in the house and wanted to come back outside....to give any critters time enough to leave!!! LOL
Your little cabin is lovely. That is a good idea to put up the camera to see who visits!
It's a good thing we don't know what goes on outside of our homes during the night hours.
Just goes to show what comes around when we don't know it! lol We have a fox that is steady coming around here and we're not even in the woods like your Little Hilton is. I've been standing outside talking to the neighbour and the darn thing comes running right by! Yikes!!
My dad was an avid moose hunter and their little hunting camp consisted of a wood frame and plastic! lol They brought their wives with them once and mom said never again!! hehe
Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day dear Val. xoxo
Oh My Goodness... I LOVE LOVE LOVE your cabin... I wish we had one too!!!! We visit a cabin on top of a mountain in Arkansas every year --and I think of it as OURS.. But--we can't go that often...
We have lots of night life around here also. I've heard there are foxes --but since we don't have a night camera, I'm not sure. However, we do have lots of deer, turkeys, skunks, racoons, groundhogs, possums, etc.... They are protected here --so that is why we have so many.
Where is your cabin?
Hugs,
Betsy
It must be great fun staying in your cabin. Apologies for not calling by to comment very often, time just seems to get swallowed up by real life!
Love the deer looking over the cabin!
I think I'm going to have to get one of those cameras for my front yard! I would love to see who or WHAT strolls through at night!
I love your pictures and I have fallen in love with Mandy's new blog. Her babies are precious!
Brendia & I have started a craft blog. I guess I should say Brendia has because I've not felt very crafty lately. Check it out luluandjoy.blogspot.com Brendia is also writing about her baby. I hope to see you soon!
