Goals Accomplished in February 2008

I am a little late on my goals report for February but better late than never. Sharing this with you makes me accountable. My lists of goals that I want to accomplish this year are on the sidebar. Here is what I have accomplished so far. Lets see how I am doing!

Start everyday with Prayer and HIS Word!
Just like January, I cannot say that I have done this everyday, but I have tried. I need to work harder on this. At night I find myself reading other Christian womens blogs & I am so blessed. Thank you.

Cook new recipes!
I love to cook. This month I had that flu bug so I haven't cooked as much as I normally would, but will do more this month. Check out My Cooking Blog!

Exercise 3 times a week!
I have went to the gym at least 3 times a week except when I was sick.

Sew!
I have been mending a few things and also starting a quilt. I also am working on a quilt that I started a long time ago and never finished. My family thinks it will never be finished so I am determined. My daughter told me the other day, that she feels like she grew up with this quilt! I thought that was so cute!

Craft!
My grandchildren love to do crafts, so we have something going on all the time. I have some fun things in mind for them this summer.

Quilt!
Well, I am proud to say that I have done 4 quilt blocks for the
Quilt-A-Long!

Play!

When you have grandchildren, you WILL play!

Garden!
I purchased tomato & flower seeds & planted them inside to get a head start on my garden. They all seem to be doing good, especially the tomato plants. I will be so excited to plant them in the garden!

Learn to relax!
Believe it or not, I am doing more of this which is very unlike me. Reading Blogs and working on my blog is a very enjoyable relaxing time for me.

Visit More!
I have visited a little this past month. I would have done more visiting, if it wasn't for me getting sick. I will do better this month. I do visit with my mom through instant messenger every night. This is our special time. I just love talking with her. She is my encourager!

To Be More Organized!
I am working on this a little bit at a time. I have been decluttering my home and it feels so good! I love a clean & organized home!

Read More Books!

I am not naturally a reader, but I am reading "At Home in Mitford" by Jan Karon. My mom loves these books so I am sure I will too. I am on page 98 which is very good for me. I am proud of myself.

Teach My Grandchildren!
This is my hearts desire. Their lives are so busy with school & ball and other activities. When they come to my house, they don't want to leave. I am a home person and they know once we get here, this is where we will stay. I believe that is why they love coming to my house so much. I would love to teach them something that they can look back on and remember that their Gran taught them. This past month, both of my granddaughters have done a quilt block. They did so good. I am just a beginner myself, but we had so much fun. They are ready to do another. Little Brother wants to do one too. I can't wait until we do some more.

Learn All I Can!
I try to learn something new every day, even if it is just the definition to a new word.

Watch more movies!
I am not a t.v. watcher, but I do turn it on while I am working on something.

Put a Puzzle together!
I have the puzzle. I just have not started it yet. March is the month that this is going to happen. I better hurry, because this month is passing by quick.

Work Hard!
I can honestly say that I don't have any problem here. I work very hard at everything I do.

Practice My Piano More!
I added this goal this month. My mom basically taught me how to play when I was young but I have not kept up with it like I should. I am so blessed to have the piano that I learned to play on. My mom is a great piano player. When I was young, I hated to practice. Now I love it and want to make more time for it.

February is gone, and March is here! I am so proud of what I have done so far.

I'd like to see a photo of the quilt you started a long time ago. This weekend I grabbed a quilt that I started 6 years ago and declared that it was "Time" to finish. Now it sits next to me waiting to be bound. Just in time to use as a picnic blanket this spring.

You can finish yours too!
