My Other Quilt Project

This is the blocks that I have laid out but not sewn together.
This is the 2 1/2" squares to make the 4 Patches.

Here are the 6 - 4 patches

Here is the quilt with the sashing &
4 patches laid out ready to be sewn together.
Here I am hiding behind the quilt top
that is finally sewn together.

This is the quilt I am working on with Amanda Jean's Quilt a long! I am so excited! I have actually got the blocks put together. Next is cutting 430 2 1/2" squares to start on the border. I was a nervous wreck while putting this together. My husband says that he is that way when he sees a turkey in the woods. His heart pounds, he breathes hard, and is a nervous wreck. I told him that described me today! I am very proud of myself since I am just learning to quilt. I have a lot to do, but I feel like I am on the way. Thank you, Amanda Jean! I love it!

I love learning.
I can never learn enough.

What a great job! You beat your Mom getting yours done first, but I am right behind you! We are having fun, both learning to quilt, and also the time spent together!

I love your quilts! It's something I always told myself I would do when I retired and had time to do it..However, I'm now retired, but I still don't have time. I paint instead.

I found your blog from a comment left onG'G'ma's blog. I too am learning to quilt and I love to see what you and your sweet mom are learning. I may have to spend my computer time today reading all of your blogs just so I can listen to the pretty and soothing music you have playing. I will be so glad when I get my quilt a long finished too. I am looking forward to the next one.

Thanks for coming by my blog. I have thought maybe some coasters and potholders would be a good to practice on. The coasters on my site are crocheted and very easy to make and take.

I absolutely love your color combinations in this quilt - very striking to go with a background other than white!!
