My Mom showing her second block!
Looks like I am concentrating!

Make sure and visit my Mom, Alice Grace to see her blocks close up. We learn something new every week. There are only 3 more classes to go. I sure hope I can do it. I love it! I actually dream about quilting!

We did have fun! I don't know if it is normal to dream of quilting, but I noticed while at work when I saw a pair of scissors on my desk, I thought of quilting! All those real quilters say it is addictive, and they must be right! I love doing the class with you!

Dreaming about quilting is perfectly normal. Sometimes it keeps me up at night. When I get an idea in my head I just can't stop.
It is wonderful that you and your mom are doing a class together. My mom is 18 hours away.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Every Friday I give away a FQ. So all you have to do is leave me a comment and you are entered. The deadline is Thursday evening at the strike of midnight.

Hi there Valerie - I found you through a comment on FabricMom's blog...I just had to stop by because I'm a "quilting Valerie" too! Lol*

Yours and your Mom's blocks look wonderful. I love the quilt you are making, it's an Eleanor Burns quilt right? I just love her quilts, wish she still had her show on tv!

Hi Valerie - thanks for visiting my blog and leaving the nice comment. Your blog is totally fun - cool that you're taking quilting classes - I've thought of doing that myself. Too many ideas, too little time!! :)

I loved seeing your favorite things on your sidebar - we have a black 'Vette - if it ever stops snowing we'll be getting it out for the summer!

Quilting is addictive--I have been addicted since I was about five. Or maybe it is the fabric that is addicting...

thank you for the comment. I learned to quilt about 7 years ago. I learned to do it all by hand. I bought a new sewing machine 2 years ago but I still quilt the tops by hand. I like the not perfect look. i have only finished 3 quilts, and have 2 that I am working on now. one of them is all hand done so it is taking forever. I really need to take pictures of them and get them on my blog.

Wow! Only your 2nd class and you did this well? You're a natural!

Dreaming of quilting is, well, just heaven's way of keeping the creative flow sparkling 24/7.

Valerie, your blocks are fabulous!! I too am learning and I think it is just so funny that I just started a quilting class also, small world. How much fun to go with your Mom, I kept thinking while I was in my class yesterday that I wished my daughter Courtney was with me. She has a newborn baby so it would have been hard, next class for sure!
