Quilting Class

Mom is working hard!
We are taking a quilting class together!
Smile!
And I am busy fixing mistakes!!!!

And ripping out seams!!!!

What's Next???

Oh!!! That's how you do it!!!
Wow!
I did that????

Home work is to pin the applique on.
I hope I can do this....I have never appliqued before!

I did it!!!!

What you think???
We only have 1 more class to go! In the next class we will put the final border and 9 patches on and put the quilt together. Here is what we did in Class #3 & #4. Go to My Moms Blog to see more pictures of our class! We are having a ball and learning so much.

Everything I am, she helped me to be.
I am thankful for my Mother.

You are doing such an excellent job with your sewing. I wasn't sure about applique until I tried it, and I learned that I love it. Can't wait to see your finished project.

That makes for such a pretty center block. It sounds as though your teacher gave you a great background on all types of quilting. I can't wait to see the borders in place.

Great job! A friend let me borrow her sewing machine so I can see if I can really do anything with it. She gave me a few short lessons. It was already threaded and the bobbin was in place. Well, I got it home and started trying to sew a couple of pieces of fabric together, and somehow it gets all tangled up. The sewing machine almost ate my material!!! aaarrrggghhh Now I am rethinking how I am going to go about this. I am thinking about taking a class at Joann's fabrics just to learn the basics.

Hi, I'm in a few groups with Joy Blum and got your blog link from hers. I too am a new quilter and I've made a quilting group. If you'd like to join us, ask Joy and she can give you the info.
Love your photos of your quilting.
