Quilt Block & A Mistress

Have I told you that my "Sweet Honey" has a "mistress"? Well he does. For 30 years now, I have called the newspaper his "Mistress"! It seems like every time he starts to read the newspaper is when I have something very important to tell him. He says it never fails that I talk while he is reading. Do you think he is trying to tell me something??? Anyway, after lunch when I saw him with his "mistress" I decided that I would go finish quilt block #10 of Amanda Jean's Quilt Along! I bet that I had more fun than he did! Then I came upstairs and made my "sweet honey" a peach cobbler! All is well in our home even with a "mistress"!

Gorgeous block! I love your colors. Your quilt is going to be absolutely beautiful! You have done a great job on this one, as usual!

I would bet you that your quilt block brought you total joy, and not a hint of bad news like his 'mistress' whispered in his ear while you were sewing!

The blocks look great!

I'm glad I'm not alone. Mal always picks up the paper when I need to talk to him aswell.
Love the colour scheme for your quilt.

It seems my hubby more often than not has a newspaper (or a medical journal, sailing magazine, or even a map) in front of him while he sits in his leather recliner in front of the TV watching sports. He is so happy when he's doing that and just like you, I can slip away to get some sewing done and we're both content.

The block looks terrific so I guess it was a good side attraction to the "mistress." Yellow is always such a cheery color for a quilt.

Hey there! I stopped by after reading your comment. That is too funny about your husband's mistress! It never fails that when I really need to talk to Robbie, he is "busy" too!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! Oh, and I am about to check out your cooking blog. I LOVE cooking and trying new recipes!

These blocks are lovely. Great work. You made me smile with the fun you two share - with the Mistress. Blessed.
