My Garden

My garden is doing great. I started my plants indoors back in Febuary. I was so proud of them. My garden was a little late getting planted because of the weather, but so far so good. I get squash, cucumbers, tomatoes & bell pepper every day. My green beans will be picked tomorrow. My okra should be coming in any day now. My corn is making and I also have 2 canteloupe plants with several big canteloupes growing. We also planted 1 gourd plant. It has 3 big gourds on it. My husband will make bird houses out of these. This is the first time I have ever made a garden in this area so I am so happy it has done so well. The only problem we have had is a few deer coming in and nipping at the plants. That is why you see the pie plates and milk jugs hanging around the garden. So far, it is working. I love my garden. It is one of my favorite places to be.

I admire gardeners but am not much of one. I'm heat intolerant and can't last the entire season. If I were, I think I would enjoy growing pumpkins because I love fall and seeing pumpkins. Your veggies look great. I just saw the slide show from your previous post and enjoy the photos so muc. Those chenille covers are exquisite.
