I have had a lot of emails wanting to hear an update on "my hurting child". If you would like to read the original post-go to my labels under prayer request. Here is more about "my hurting child" and an update.
The reason my daughter is hurting is because of a divorce. She has her good days and bad days. Yesterday (Sunday) she told me that on the way to church that she prayed for the Lord to send somebody with some uplifting words. Well, we had a wonderful service and toward the end of the service a beautiful young woman got up out of her seat and came back and sat next to my daughter. There were some singers singing. I noticed that she put her arm around my daughter and was talking to her and they both were crying and hugging. After church, my daughter told me an angel visited her. You see, my daughter knows this young woman but not well at all. She told my daughter that she was praying the night before for her children and my daughters face came before her and her spirit was troubled for her. She told her how she had been there where my daughter is now. She told her about one time even forgetting to fix her children's supper because of her pain. My daughter shared with her how she had forgotten to eat one day until I asked her what she had ate for lunch. This angel shared with her how "his" family was "her" family and it was like a death and that she had to grieve. My daughter told her how special 'his" family was to her and always will be. This angel told her that she may not see it now, but one day she would be thanking him, because there will be someone to love her more than she could ever imagine. She told her to trust in the Lord. This is what happened to her. She thought it was the end of her world and now she is blessed with a good husband and family. She told my daughter that sometimes we have to go through things so we can help others. She also told her to call her if she wanted to talk, cry, scream, or just have someone hold her while she cries. My daughter needed this so bad. It took a lot for this angel to get up and walk back to where we were sitting during church. She is a very quiet, humble young lady. It means something to obey the Lord and not care what anyone thinks because you might miss out on blessing someone else. What an angel this young woman was to my hurting child. What an answer to prayer. My daughter will be o.k.- I know that because I know that she knows the Lord. I know that she knows where her help comes from. I ask you again to pray for my daughter and my son in law. And if you find it in your heart please say a prayer for us also, as we go through this trial with our "hurting child." Thank you all for your emails and kind words. It has amazed me that people I don't even know, care enough to ask about our situation and not only that, but will pray for us. I know without a doubt that the Lord is in control. So, if you are going through something and you think your world is ending, remember that the Lord could send an angel to you. HE is always right on time. As our Pastor tells us, When HE is all you have, HE is all you need.

Valarie, what a beautiful story - I'm so happy someone came to her and yes, she will be okay trusting and believing in 'Him'.
My husband heard something once that is SO TRUE! It goes like this...'You are only as happy as your saddest child' - We know this first hand as I know you are feeling it too.

What a sweet young woman this angel was Valerie. I've been where you are and it is so hard - so hard to know that your child is hurting and that you have no control over that. But God is faithful to ease our pain and touch our hearts with His grace. My prayers are going up for your daughter and your entire family. blessings, marlene
What a tender post. There are angels among us for sure. It is so inspiring to me when someone listens to a prompting and follows through to bless and touch someone else's life. I wish your family blessings and little miracles. Julie
This was a beautiful post! Your child is so beautiful both inside and out, and her heart is true. It is sad when these things happen, and my tears are rolling, but there is always someone that God sends to encourage, if only they listen to the heeding of the Spirit. Sounds like this particular Angel helped your Angel immensely. God is with her, and HE WILL give her beauty for the ashes of her pain.......no doubt in my mind about that.

A blessed story brimming with faith. You're all in my prayers.

First, thanks for visiting - I love making new friends!
And, thanks for writing such a lovely post- please know that things will be better for your daughter. The Angels are all around, waiting, watching and truly wanting to embrace her now and everyday.
I can speak of this with conviction. I, too, was divorced and alone..or so I thought. That's when I first started to "notice" my angels..and they have been with me everyday ever since. I am now re-married to the best spirit I know (for 26 years) and although we are not spared all hurt and heartbreak, we both know the Angels will watch over us and lead us to "our soft place to land".
Tell her she just needs to be open, to call out to them, to look for them and they'll be there..
Blessings,
Colleen
What a special angel that was too. I had tears just reading this post. It is so hard to see your child hurting. From day one we hurt for our kids and it only gets worse as their hurt get bigger.
I send prayers for you and your daughter as you live through this nightmare. Hugs.
I have had my share of "angels" in recent months. It strengthens my faith to witness all the resources God has that He dispatches through the people in the body of Christ. Obedient ones like this woman you wrote about make all the difference to someone in pain. Praise the Lord. Thanks for sharing.

I have been praying that the Lord will give her the Peace, and Joy that we only know in Him. Isn't it awesome to know that God still answers prayers and that he knows just what we need, and when we need it. I am thankful that her Angel chose to obey the Lord and talk to your daughter.

I was just about to log off the computer when I heard, Don't let Satan get the upperhand.
I'm a coworker of Marandas and I think that she is a wonderful person and I'm sad to see her go through something like this but she gives me strength and I don't even think she knows it. I've been through a divorce myself and I even broke up with a boyfriend about a year ago that felt like a divorce so I know exactly what she's going through only I didn't forget to eat I just didn't want to eat. I can't put everything into words but she's just amazing to me and I also pray for her and I know that she will be ok. I also think that she has a wonderful family and that's important.I don't know you personally but from what I've seen and heard you're a wonderful person yourself and a very strong uplifting woman. I have to get back to work now so I'll end it here but I do enjoy your blog sometimes when I'm feeling down I log onto your blog.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 You are loved, dear girl.
Hello Valerie,
Thank you for visiting me, and leaving the kind comment. I will pray for your daughter.
Blessings.
Valerie, thank you for sharing this. I can't help but think that by doing so you and this angel will have helped many people.
I will keep your daughter covered in prayer.
Thank you for sharing that very personal story with us Valerie. You know the Lord answers prayers for us through other people. Sometimes we have to listen after prayers to know what to do for others or act on promptings of the spirit without wondering about the prompting. I think some of the best medicine for a hurting heart is service. I love the story of the businessman that pondered on who he could help every morning while he shaved. The thought of visiting others with service was foremoest in his mind and he tried everyday to find someone that would need him. May we all be like that.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I appreciate the sweet comment about my children.
My heart goes out to your daughter and I will keep her in my prayers that she's able to find peace soon.
As a parent, there is nothing worse than seeing our child hurting. Please know that I have your daughter and sil in my prayers. This can't be an easy time for any of you. Thank God for people like that young woman who went to comfort your daughter in church...an angel indeed! xoxo
