Christmas + Surgery + Baby = BUSY!

I have been working on some Christmas gifts for my grandchildren along with my quilt. I hope to finish it this weekend if nothing happens. I went with my "sweet daughter," Mandy to the doctor. The doctor told us she has made significant progress and could go anytime. The baby is not due until the 28th of this month. We are so excited. They even suggested inducing her next week if her blood pressure goes up anymore. We go back next Wednesday to find out more. In the mean time my other "sweet daughter," Maranda will be having foot surgery on Tuesday morning. They will be at 2 different hospitals in 2 different cities. What would I do if both events happen around the same time? Oh my goodness!!! Hopefully everything will happen as it should. Please keep them both in your prayers. Needless to say, with Christmas, surgery and baby I am pretty busy.
The pictures are of Mandy, her beautiful nursery & home & some of her gifts for the baby. When I picked her up for the doctor, I saw the most beautiful baby quilt on the table. I fell in love with it and thought I would share the pictures of it with you. One of Mandy's friends, Behki has a mother that is so talented. She made Mandy this quilt. After seeing this quilt, it made mine look sick, but I am just a beginner and I hope to learn everyday. I told Mandy that I would love to go spend the day with this woman and let her teach me. The quilt is just so beautiful. Don't you just love it??

you will make my mothers day with your sweet comments about the quilt. She was nervous giving a fellow quilter's daughter a blanket in hopes that you would approve!! I'll be praying for perfect timing for Miranda and Mandy for you.

Valerie last week I ordered two necklaces for my granddaughters from EllieNoelle Designs (Etsy) and while on her site I saw a necklace that was in the shape of a crescent moon and said "I'll love you to the moon and back." Wouldn't that be a great gift for your daughter! I don't know the woman who makes these but the two necklaces I got are beautiful. blessings, marlene

It would be stressful to have both daughters in different hospitals so let's hope that doesn't happen. This could be an exciting week for your family.

That is such a aweet quilt. I know it will be so loved too.

Praying for Mandy and Maranda and God's perfect timing. Wow, so much going on at once! Well I guess at times like this we find out what the Lord has given us strength to handle it all, and I know you will. Can't wait to hear that baby is here!

Some people are so cute pregnant and your daughter is certainly one of them. What a great time in their lives!

I love the cone trees on your mantle too by the way. I am going to have to get me some of those during the after Christmas sales.
