Siggy Blocks

I am so excited. Now remember..... I am just a beginner. I joined Connie with her International Signature Block Swap. After I joined up, I got so nervous, but I knew this is the only way to learn. 60 people joined this group. I wonder if there are any more that are beginners like me. I worked on some blocks today and I think for a beginner they are not too bad. My "sweet honey" gave me a new sewing machine for Christmas. It is not an expensive machine, but it does a little embroidery. I am just learning all about it too. The embroidery is not as straight as it needs to be and I haven't clipped the strings or put the dots in. I thought that I would have to do the dots by hand but I just figured out that my machine will do that for me too. I loved doing this today. It was so much fun. I definitely have a lot to learn but I am still proud. I have done 4 blocks so far. I hope that I am doing them the right way. Thank you, Connie for answering all my questions and helping me. You are an angel.

How fun, Valerie. I am going to have to check out her site. I think they look great and you would never know that you are a beginner.

How is your sister and her family doing? I am sure these are difficult times for all of them.

I LOVE your siggy blocks!!! You are doing such a great job with your quilting! I've been lazy and haven't made one for a while but this kind really makes me want to do one. I have the embroidery machine too and love it. Thanks for stopping by, I added my name to your 'follow' list and will put you in my favorites too!
We are expecting up to 14 inches of snow today and tonight! We are supposed to leave in the morning flying to Florida so I hope the airport is open! Please pray for a safe trip for us!

Great job Valerie....more work than I think I could do but am anxious for the end result.
I know many girls are getting the embroidery machines.

Wow! Great Job, it doesn't look like you are a beginner anymore to me! I love your new machine! I want an embroidery machine too, but for now I just do it by hand. It isn't as consistent, and it takes a lot longer. My grandmother taught me to embroider so it brings back lots of memories.

The pledge is for all surfaces, but it is in the orange can...it is called clean and shine (I think). I will have to refer back to my post.
Well, I'm off to check out what else you are doing...looks like a favs is going to be added to my roll.
It is really no bother answering questions...I really rather enjoy it!

This is neat! I just came to your blog to see where you are. Saw in your post at Darla's that it is raining at your house. I am in TN, but it does feel like it is raining all over the world.

How wonderful and special those siggy blocks are! I think you did a fabulous job with them, considering you are just learning how to use your sewing machine for the embroidery. Isn't it such a lovely feeling being able to learn and have fun at the same time:-) xoxo
