And They Say It Is Easy

This doesn't look like much does it? We flip houses in our spare time. (spare time-ha!) My husband & I can see something in a house that other people cannot see. We were told that this little house should be bulldozed down. We did not agree.
This is the kitchen before we started.

This is part of a bedroom.
This is the way it was.
Is this not the ugliest bathroom you have ever saw?

This is where the washer & dryer go.

This is the land that this little house is sitting on.

You could hardly see the house for the weeds.
It took 2 tractors and bush hogs to clean it up.
Remember the kitchen? This is it so far.

We are having to gut the whole house but it will be worth it when we are through.
When you are up late at night and see those infomercials that tell you that flipping houses is easy- don't let them trick you. It is very hard work. We like the challenge though. We have done several houses over the last few years. I love to see the final outcome. We work very hard. Nothing comes easy, does it? You don't find us sitting around watching t.v. much. This is what we do in our "down" time except when we go fishing. Boy, that sounds good--fishing, Florida, Helen, Ga., Gatlinburg- my BIL lake house.........I am ready!!! Hopefully in about 3 weeks I will be able to show you a different little house. We are calling this little house "The Love Shack." We name all of our houses. It is small but it will make someone a nice little home when we are through. You will be surprised. Keep watching for updates.
And They Say It Is Easy..........Yeah right!

I always wanted to do a 'flip' other than the ones we actually wound up living in ... DH, nope! I see visions of these kinds of homes. It is great we did it for the ones we live in, as I enjoyed every thing I tore out & redid. Good for you ... dying to see the rest of it. TTFN ~ Marydon

Oh, I can see where you see the potential. First of all, the bare bones looks good, and everything looks fairly straight.

I can't wait to see what you do with it. Someone will have a beautiful little house very soon.
be blessed,
Michelle

My hubby wanted to do this - thought it would be easy money - nope, not this girl! I don't have that kind of energy, lol. Good for you - can't wait to see what you accomplish!

I love the "Love Shack"!! It will be fun to see how you transform it. I can see lots of possibilities so I know you will turn this little blossom into a full blown rose!

Oh Valerie I am so happy that you save wonderful old dwellings! So many people are quick to tear down quaint little homes and build HUGE ugly monsters with no character.
I think I am going to love the Love Shack. It's adorable!

I can definitely see potentila in the Love Shack. I can't wait to see it completed. My dad used to do that and I always enjoyed helping him "flip" neat little houses.

I'm sure it's a lot of hard work, but the house looks better already. I think I would enjoy doing that. I love to fix things and make them look better. I always wonder what happened in the house before when it was somebodies home. Have fun and I can't wait to see the end results.

Thanks to people like you and your hubby, these houses get a second chance to become a home for someone:-)I can well imagine all the work involved but if you enjoy doing it, then it's a labour of love. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the Love Shack once it's all done! xoxo
