Beautiful Homes

When we were on our way to Panama City, Florida we passed through a beautiful little town called Eufala, Alabama. As we drove through the town going and coming home I snapped these pictures as we were driving. I just thought the homes were so beautiful. On top of that this town has a huge lake, Lake Eufala. The lake was beautiful. It had huge lily pads that provided a lot of covering. The sign said it was the Bass Capitol. Needless to say, we would love to take our little boat down there and stay a few days and fish. I just thought that you would enjoy seeing these beautiful historic homes. I sure did.

Well, I think you should find out which of those homes are B&B's and go on a fishing trip! I'll tag along through the pictures. Bass Capitol? How can you resist that!

I've been fortunate enough to tour some of these and they are lovely on the inside too. There is a state park with cabins and a hotel that is reasonable that Nalley and I took my parents to years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake.

Lovely photographs and beautiful houses, I've never been to the US
but these houses are typical of what I imagined.

Valerie, I have a nephew and a niece that live in Eufala AL. I have only been there once, years ago, and the weather was not good for touring. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures. I have heard that some of these homes are from the Civil War era.

What beautiful homes! Isn't it fun looking at all of them, the grounds, flowers and how well kept they are? Sometimes I try to imagine what kind of family lives there and what they do for a living etc.... It's fun just to think about it. I'm probably dead wrong every time! lol!

Really special homes. I always look at the beautiful homes in the South, too and wonder what the people are like who live there....
