My First Simple Woman's Daybook Entry

For Today: January 11, 2010
Outside my window........Baby, its cold outside!

I am thinking...................about my sweet husband and what all he has to deal with today.

I am thankful for.............PEACE in my life.

I am wearing....................pretty blue warm p.j.'s and barefooted.

I am remembering..........what a nice weekend we had with good friends.

I am going.........................to work, grocery store, and post office and of course to the thrift stores!

I am currently reading...your blogs!

I am hoping......................that my grandchildren will remember something that I have taught them.

On my mind.....................I am thankful for how far my son has come in his life and how far I hope he will go and I give all the credit to prayer and hard work.

Noticing that....................my home is nice and clean but to keep it that way I must do little things everyday.

Pondering these words....I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil. 4:13

In the kitchen...................Butter beans simmering in the crock pot. Yum!

Around the house.............ironing, and 1 load of laundry and the most important thing is some sewing.

One of my favorite things.......... Just one??? My coke first thing in the morning.

From my picture journal:

My favorite picture of my 96 year old Granny with me!
Look at her little face!
She still makes 2 quilts a week! Amazing.

Great entry. I don't think that I have heard of this before. Do you have the questions and you have to answer them? Very nice and a great picture of you and your Granny.

Valerie that is a simply wonderful picture of you and Granny - what a treasure. It's cold here too but getting warmer thank goodness. We have a refrigerator in a closet in the carport (an extra left over from a previous move) and the motor never ran during those really cold days. And my celery and carrots froze inside the fridge! Have a wonderful week. blessings, marlene
