Our Baby's Little Monkey

Little D's (our youngest grandbaby) first birthday party.
His mommy (our baby daughter) made this little monkey cake just for him!
You have got to enlarge this picture to see the ears are little chocolate donuts!
Who would have thunk it?
She did all the decorations herself.
Have you guessed that this is a monkey theme?

This was one of the center pieces for the tables.

Mommy is so creative.
She didn't go buy these decorations. She made them!
Everything was so cute.

This was the gift table before the gifts arrived.
The frame is one that has the slideshow on it and it was pictures of Little D.
She also had their laptop going with pictures in another part of the room.
There was sweet monkey music in the background.
The quilt on the table is the funky monkey quilt that
my Sweet Mother made for him when he was born.
Look at this.....Banana Punch!
Who would have thunk it?
"Paw Paw, I WANT your hat NOW!"

I am telling you my children are so much smarter than I will ever be.
Have you ever saw a cupcake that looks like a monkey like this one?
Who would have thunk it?

So cute!
And look at the kids cups?

You would have had to have been there to see this!
Mandy put his birthday hat on and he immediately started crawling as fast as he could into the kitchen. I thought to myself.....where is he going so fast?
Then we found out. He got to the oven and stood up and looked at himself (like a mirror) and smiled the biggest smile. So cute!

This was another center piece for one of the tables.

Little D loved his little monkey cake made just for him by his Mommy!

I think he had a good time today.
I just cannot believe how time gets by. I can't believe that Little D is 1 year old!

I love the way you did this blog, with "who would have thunk it!".....so cute! Little D was precious, and I saw him looking at himself in the oven door. It is glass and looks like a mirror to him. Mandy said he does that a lot! Very sweet and cute party!
