I told her that I had to because everybody that buys her quilts wants to see her.
I just love pictures of her work area. Look where she puts her strips as she makes them.....on her walker (or her horse as she calls it)!
I think this is going to be a really pretty quilt.
These pictures were took yesterday so I bet that quilt is already finished.
Oh by the way, I am adding 5 new quilts on the sidebar that are for sale if anyone is interested.
The quilts are 50.00 each + shipping costs. All of Granny's quilts are full size quilts made with love and prayer.
Granny is not feeling too well.
But she is still sewing. I could tell when I walked in that she didn't feel good.
Will you please pray for Granny?
My dad has been helping me in my cleaning business so I am taking him away from Granny some. She doesn't seem to mind unless she runs out of bobbins or the machine comes unthreaded. Then she needs a little help. Daddy fills several bobbins for her before he leaves. He made her this little block of wood with a screw in it to hold her filled bobbins. I just thought that was so neat and simple.
Aren't these the most precious hands?
I just wonder what all they have done in her lifetime.
I often look at her and wonder about all the trials that she has been through.
I asked her the other day how she gets through trials.
Her answer was simple.
"I just give it to the Lord."

As usual, Granny is doing the thing she loves the most. I hope she feels better soon.
Your life is truly blessed to have the Granny you have. Thanks for "sharing" her (and her wise words) with us. I'll say a prayer for her to feel better soon.
What a precious post. That is just what my mother in love would say, to give it all to the Lord. Thanks for sharing about Granny today. I hope she will feel better soon.
Good for Granny keeping busy. Val I don't remember if I let you know that I did receive Granny's quilt. I love it my son likes the pattern it makes.
Thank again and make sure you pass it on to Granny.
Peace,
Patty
I actually think Granny is looking younger. I think she must feel such a sense of being needed by everyone buying her quilts, and for that, those quilts are priceless!
One thing I think of when I see Granny sewing, is how can she sit on that piano stool with no back on it? I know I could not do that. I have to have support for my back. I wonder if she would feel better if she had a straight chair? Could you ask her if she would try that? Maybe that would make her feel better.
Thank you again for sharing. We all love to see her.
be blessed,
Michelle
Valerie she's just so precious!
Praying she feel much better soon. I guess we all have off days don't we...but she still keeps going.

Such a saint. As always glad you share your visits with us. That is so sweet of your Dad to fill the bobbins for her.
Take care - and let God.
Hey Valerie, I would like to buy one of Grannys quilts. I would love to have #5 for Addison. Just let me know if it is still available and i can get the money to Mandy. Thanks! I love reading your blog.

Granny sure does amaze me. It is wonderful to see her doing what she loves. Your Dad seems to be so helpful to her. He is a good man, too.
Blessings my friend...

She remains such an inspiration to all of us. I pray that she is feeling better.
Granny I hope you are feeling better I sent an email through the blog, but I too would love to purchase one of Granny's lovingly made quilts.
A lesson we could all learn! I do hope Granny feels better.
Granny is precious, hope she is feeling better soon. Give her a big hug for me.
I love Granny! She is such a wonderful example and a fabulous WITNESS! I hope she feels much better very soon! Hugs to you and Granny, Kelly
I hope she feels better soon! I love seeing pictures of her. She is amazing to me.
Thank you for sharing Granny. I lost my Grammy back in 2007 and miss her so much. She is a gift from above indeed.
Give her a hug from me.
Thinking and praying for Granny today. I hope I'm able to be using my hands the way she does when I'm a granny! :)
Yes, we love hearing about Granny and seeing her in action. I hope she feels better soon.
I like to keep several bobbins threaded, also. I hate having to stop and fill a bobbin when I'm sewing.
Today, Daughter came over to quilt her nine patch on my machine. She just quilted in the ditch. It had been a while since I'd used the machine and I'd forgotten where some of the buttons for different things were. She is just learning to sew. I think she is going to like it.

Granny is lovely and she is one smart lady! We all need to learn how to give our trials to the Lord and not keep trying to pick them back up!
Bless her heart and her hands! I just love your Granny. I'll be praying for her!
Your sweet Granny is a wonderful example for us quilters. She keeps working whether she feels like it or not. What a sweet inspiration she is.
I love the homemade bobbin holder! Granny looks sweeter than ever. :-)
I'm sorry Granny isn't feeling good but she's looking good! And it looks like to me you've sold almost all thos quilts on the sidebar - how many does that make now? What a blessin for her! blessings, marlene
God bless Granny; and God bless you, Valerie.
I pray for Granny to be restored to perfect health! No matter how old you are you can have health from God. I think of Moses, whom the LORD took and the Bible says that Moses was still full of strength in body, and his eye sight had not weakened. It was just time for him to go to his reward! God bless Granny with health.
