Have You Ever?

SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART
Oh the Lord is so good! I have decided that I am going to start looking for what the Lord is trying to tell me & my family while we are on this journey. My eyes are open to everything I see, hear, and read. As much as I don't like trials, once you get your focus where it is suppose to be you feel so much better even while you are in the midst of it. Our family is so blessed. We have so many things to be thankful for but we all have to go through the valleys to get to the mountain top. Then it happens......Satan tries to discourage you. Sometimes others misunderstand you when you don't talk about your feelings. It is not that you don't want to share but sometimes the hurt is so bad. I was talking to my daughter Mandy about this very thing and how this is something we had to go through. We don't like it, but we will endure it. When we got off the phone Mandy told me that she started thinking and just started writing things down. She called me back and read this to me.
See if you think the Lord used Mandy. I do.
**********
Have you ever....
wanted to help someone so badly, however helping them means hurting them?
Have you ever....
helped someone so much that you actually hurt them?
Have you ever....
loved someone so much, however loving closely means being taken advantage of?
Have you ever....
had to love someone from a distance so that their life could be saved?
Have you ever....
thought about giving someone $5.00 for a meal but it could actually mean $5.00 for a death sentence?
Have you ever....
hurt for someone so much that your heart breaks?
Have you ever....
had to pull away from someone so that one day you can hopefully pull them close?
Have you ever?
from my daughters heart.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
We are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken;
Cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our body.
2 Corinthians 4: 8-10

I can sense a brighter light around you already.
Hang in there, friend your angels are taking care of you. xoxo

Oh sweetie - I know we all dislike trials but we most closely identify with Christ during times of suffering. His strength is made manifest in our weakness. Your daughter is very wise.

YES, The LORD is Speaking! Listen and allow HIM to transform through your prayers and love and surrender to HIM! Our ways are not the LORD's ways. His ways are perfect. HE even said, "I am the way." "I am the life" Truth will come through Him.

I love His Light in the darkness. Your daughter received some light!
Love always to you and yours!

Oh...Val....Your Mandy takes right after her Mother- YOU! How proud you must be of her. I can honestly say that I probably could answer yes to every one of her questions. When I reread it...I was thinking of you with every word. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Give it time and prayer.. things will work out.

my mom and dad divorced after 34 years of marriage. the past two years have been the hardest of my life. i felt like a little child some days and felt i would die from the grief, it was so intense. all things happen for a reason and in the midst of them, it's hard to see that. but it will get easier. a new day will come followed by another and some day, you'll look back and understand...and even if you don't, you'll be better. you'll heal and life will go on. i know that's not very comforting right now, but i do understand your sorrow and i want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. bless you and your family~

I love you Valerie!! I want you to know what these other comments have said is to true!! Through trials we learn a new glimpse of WHO the LORD is!! I am so glad you are sharing this. The enemy tries to get us isolated and tells us we cant share our hurts or trials because that is weakness .But we know all believes when we are weak HE IS STRONG!! Share , share what the LORD HAS DONE!! ((((((VALERIE))))

Amen. Yes. Listen to God...then 'Let Go...and Let God!'.
I know it is hard, but we can't do His job for Him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and soul, and know that He knows the situation, and is working on it. The hardest part is, God's time is different than our own. It's probably not going to happen overnight, but know, that God knows the situation, and He hears your prayers and pleas. Also know that you are loved by many, and we want you to be happy too. Live the beautiful days God give YOU.
be blessed,
Michelle

Valerie, reading this post gave me chills. What your daughter wrote is so true it stopped me right in my tracks this morning because I hadn't prayed yet today. Even in your trails, you're helping me ! :)

When Satan knocks at the door, say "Lord, could you get that for me?"

Is that flower on a vine or a bush...

Reading in between the lines I can tell you that many of us have walked, cried, worried and prayed throught what you are going throught. Don't ever give up hope, don't ever give up loving and don't ever give up praying even if you can only pray "Help".
Love to you and your family and I pray that all will end well for you.

Valerie your daughter wrote some powerful words. I've found in life that sometimes backing away is the only answer. Sometimes we get too close to a situation and we get in God's way. We have to back off and let Him work. blessings, marlene

Honey, I am so uplifted by this post, especially what Mandy wrote. She has totally said it all. I am going to print this post out and read it daily. It has helped me, as I go thru this trial with you all. Prayer and trust in the Lord is the only way, but we must be wise, just like you and Mandy are in this post.
Love

Yes... Choices are hard but some times doing nothing might be the best choice of all. Hoping every thing will work out. Have lived all those things... still am.
