Our Newest Project

We have a new (older) house for sale. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home.
It was built in the 1960's
The lady that lived here took immaculate care of this home.
We are not having to do too much to it. This home was full of love.
The hardwood floors are gorgeous.
Look at this kitchen. It has the original appliances in it.
Everything is in great condition.
I know the colors are out of date but if you could see what condition this house is in you would see why we are not changing a thing. All we did was paint it.
Look at this surface unit. I wonder how many meals have been cooked on this stove.

The fan is a Nutone Brand. If I did anything to this house I would probably change out the counter tops but they are actually not too bad.

Check out this oven. It opens from the side.
And I had to show you the inside. We didn't do a thing to it. She kept everything immaculate.
The bathroom is original. Not many houses have a cast iron bathtub anymore.
This is what the bedrooms look like.
***************
I just thought I would show you our latest project. Our Son In Law found this house. It is a gem. The little lady that lived here fell and broke her hip and had surgery and went down hill from there. She was 86 years old. She actually had this house built and raised her daughter there and lived happily ever after until she went to meet the Lord. Sometimes these things are so sad but it sure does look like she had things in order. We still have "The Love Shack". It needs new owners. It is a doll house. We redid everything in it from the studs up but this new (old) house is original and in such good condition we just loved it like it was. Sometimes you just don't need to change a thing.
SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART
Today I will face life with strength found in prayer.

That is amazing how well she maintained that adorable home. That is the size home we would like to have ~ easily manageable. The hardwood floors are so pretty. I remember one other time seeing a home from the early 60's that had the original appliances and they were so clean. You do wonder about all the meals and all the babies/grands bathed in that cast iron tub!!! Have a restful evening Val.

It is so nice to see something from a bygone time period that was maintained this well. I'm sure you will find someone who would be happy to live there.

That is not a house, it is a home. I imagine many happy times have been experienced in that little home. Great find! There is a certain sadness about seeing homes that were so cared for and loved, and the people are not there any more. Makes one curious about what happened to the previous owner.

Beautiful. The appliances look like what was in our house when we moved in. Our home was built in 1963, and the cupboards look like those too.
