Daddys Quilts

Daddy has  about 20 quilts made and ready to sell.
Daddy's birthday is coming up on Sat.
He will be 77 years young.
Granny quilted until she was 96 years old
and I am sure that Daddy will too.
Daddy sells his quilts for 60.00 plus shipping.

I have said that I would put them on the sidebar and never have.
It is on my to do list!
This is #1
Sold to Susie R.
Thank you!

Quilt #2

Quilt #3

Quilt #4

Quilt #5
Sold to Sylvia W.
Thank you!!

Quilt #6
Just let me know if you are interested in one of these quilts.
There are many more where these came from.
I just thought I would show a few at a time.

Daddy loves to go to yard sales and thrift stores.
Look what he found at a yard sale for me!

And look at this very very old quilt that he found for 1.00!!!!
It needs some work but Daddy loves a challenge.

Today I am thankful........that Daddy found the love of Granny's quilts so much that he learned to make them.

I am a member over at Pins & Needles and I posted about Vicki's chicken scratch!
Make sure and visit here.

I have been having issues with my TMJ and Vicki (bff) went out of her way to bring me
a bowl of potato soup and the chicken scratch instruction book that
she copied just for me! Wasn't that sweet?
There is nothing like a "real" best friend!
I am so blessed.

I am so glad to see that your daddy picked up where your granny left off. She must be smiling down on him.

I hope you feel better soon!!!

I think it is wonderful that your Dad has found "quilts" to be his hobby. They are very pretty. Will you and your Dad have a garden together this year?

Happy spring to you, Val!

Val, Love the quilts your Daddy makes, and such a good price. I have so many from my mother and grandmother but if I didn't I would definitely be interested. You have a special Dad to take an interest in sewing and quilting. What great memories you two will have. Sewing is a gift for your family.

It is so awesome that your Dad took over where Granny left off.
And as for those BFF, we can't live without em'.

I hope your tmj is getting better...the potato soup sounds delicious and probably hit the spot.
I"m hoping to buy one of your Daddy's quilts at the end of this month. I'm thinking something in pink. Yay, can't wait! :-)

Your Daddy makes such lovely quilts. Granny sure did pass her gift onto him amd he should be making them for at least another 20 years too.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I hope your TMJ eases up soon. My daughter has periodic problems with that, too. In case I can find anyone who'd like to order a quilt, what size are they?

Your Daddy's quilts are wonderful Val, I wish I could buy one! Amazing that he found that quilt for $1 - that's my kind of shopping, lol. I'm sorry you're having trouble with TMJ, I have that too, yuck.

Valerie, I would like to buy one of the quilts. If #1 or #5 is still around that's what I would like. I will e-mail soon. Leave me a msg on FB or my e-mail is sylweitzel1@yahoo.com. Thanks so much! Sylvia Weitzel

I'm so glad your dad has found something to do. Maybe your dad should consider gifting some of his quilts to project linus, or to comfort quilts. There are many organizations which take quilts. I wish I had more time to sew and do more donation quilts.

Your friend is a jewel. You are blessed! Hope you feel better soon!

Your daddy sure got his talent from Granny. The quilts are really pretty. I'm glad he likes quilting and has that to keep him busy.

Like mother, like son. Quilting is in the family blood, it seems.

Morning Val!

My goodness your Daddy's quilts are just as beautiful as Grannys and why not...GREAT TEACHER.
I'm sure he will be selling all of them in no time.

Sorry about your TMJ - that can be so painful...does the pain die down or do you have to have something done to it for it to go away?

Your Dad is doing a great job with those quilts! And I know that potato soup was wonderful that Vicki brought you. There is nothing better than soup when you don't feel well.

What a blessing that Granny taught your Dad to quilt and that it gives him so much joy. They truly are beautiful and an expression of love.

Hope you feel better soon.

He does such a beautiful job. I really want a few of his quilts. I just have to wait until we get on our feet a little. Our computer just crashed and we have to pay off the new one.
