I Miss My Crocheting Class

As most of you know "Sweet Hunter" is not feeling well
so I missed my crocheting class today but here are last week's pictures!

Thank you for all your prayers.
The doctor says he has 2 stones and they are passable
so lets hope it happens soon for his sake!

And for my sake!!!! lol
I have saw way too many hunting shows & sports!!!
(smile)
Bless his heart.
I LOVE this man!

I think this is going to be a scarf!

This is going to be a sweater vest.

And this is absolutely beautiful and it is going to be........

This!!!!
Isn't it gorgeous!

I believe this is an afghan!
I love the colors!

And this is going to be.......

......This!
Her yarn looks just like the colors of this yarn in the picture!

And we celebrated August's Birthday last week
with lots of yummy goodies!
I worked so hard on mine!
See those brownies from Kroger's???
That is mine.
(smile)

The lady that made those crackers made more but this time she used those
Escort Crackers!
They were yummy!

But this was the hit of all of those goodies!
Texas Caviar
Polly, our crochet teacher brought it
and is going to share the recipe with me
so when I get it, I will share it with you!
She served it with those Tostito Scoop Chips!
Oh my goodness!

And look at these gorgeous necklaces that Polly made!
I just fell in love with them and she gave them to
me for my 2 granddaughters!
I haven't got to give them to the girls yet but they are going to love them!
Enlarge the picture to see them better.
When I find some fancy yarn I am going to try to make one for me!
Thank you Polly!

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR.........my health!

"Sweet Hunter" said, "it is true, if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.
He said, "everyday that we wake up feeling well we ought to thank the Lord."
He said, "we never need to take it for granted."
So true.
Thank you for your prayers.

Val, Hoping Sweet Hunter will be able to pass those stones soon. So sad for you both that he has had so much trouble as of late. Will continue to keep you in my prayers. Love all the pretties the ladies and yourself are working on. Hoping your week gets better with every passing day.
Hugs
Angela

Hello Val, I am praying your hubby passes those darn old stones as soon as possible. I know he would rather be out hunting and working rather than having to deal with this! Prayers are being said here.

I just love it when you post things about your crocheting class. The colors are fantastic...so warm and cheery. Sounds like you have a great group.

Take care now... and tell "Sweet Hunter" that there are many of us out here praying for him.

Thoughts and prayers..Susannah

I hope they pass soon, and that they're not too excruciating - I am cringing from here for him. And praying! All the projects are so lovely, and making me itch to pick up my crochet hook again!

So true about health. 2 more stones? ouch. Like you said, let's hope he passes them soon.

Here's hoping those stones pass quickly and become the past. Poor Hunter. I know what it is not to feel good, and yes, every day we feel good is a blessing, and good health is the best gift you can have this side of heaven!

Sending hugs to both of you.

I hope he is soon free from the stones and from the pain...I had them when I was expecting my daughter and there is nothing like that pain...
Enjoyed seeing your crochet class photos.

I am praying for Sweet Hunter to be free of these awful stones soon & free of pain.
I love to see your crochet items. Makes me want to get at it. Having so much pain & restrictions in my hands of late. Hard to type.

Dear Val, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your hubby!! Let's hope those stones pass so that he can go on enjoying his life!

Loved seeing the projects the ladies were working on at your crocheting class, so much talent:-) The necklaces are gorgeous and no doubt your granddaughters will love them.

I'm glad you found my blog again! lol I was just going to send you a reply when you posted on my blog that you had remembered to look at your Reader's List! hehe

The last couple of days I've been busy with the garden, canning and pickling again. Go away for 4 days and the garden decides to go crazy! lol xoxo

I had to laugh when I saw the ripple afghan because that was about the 5th project that I did when I was learning . Would you believe that was 30 years ago and I still have that mean little project in the closet in a tote.

It never failed that I would get the wrong number of stitches about every other row. I tried and tried but it had way too many Hills and crooked valleys! LOL

I love the necklaces too - that is the same technique that I used to make that cord to turn my shop light off and on beside my sewing machine. I still love it - I just needed a little "bling"! : )

I hope Dear Hunter gets fixed soon - that is so miserable.

O, I wondered are you anywhere that they are predicting the path of Irene to go????????????????
