Our Little Hilton

The "honeymooners" went with us this past weekend to "our little hilton"!

I brought some home grown tomatoes and peppers & lettuce from my garden!

Add some fried potatoes!!!

And the best hamburger ever!!!

The guys were busy building a shooting house!
Every time Lane comes "Sweet hunter" puts him to work!
Maybe that is why our other son in laws don't come visit! lol

I actually think they loved being out there
but they sure were working hard in that heat.

Me & "Big Sis" were in the cabin.
You won't see any pictures of us.
We kept our pajamas on the whole weekend!
It was great!
She studied and I crocheted.

I went out to check on the guys when I saw this web and spider!
YUK!

The guys did take a little break to shoot their guns!

They worked so hard that they needed to take a break.

Well they worked until I called them in for breakfast!
Deer Sausage
Scrambled eggs
Gravy & biscuits
Sliced tomatoes

And Sat. night we took a break and went to eat at the only restaurant around.
It's a seafood restaurant and is so good!
They serve cheese grits with sweet pickles!
Believe it or not, it is delicious!

Well they didn't get to finish it but it is almost there.
One more trip and they should have it done.
"Sweet hunter" could not have done it without Lane.
Thanks Lane for being a great son in law!

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR........."our little Hilton"!

Wow, Val, your meals always look so delicious! My mouth is watering just looking at the pictures.
And, if I came across a spider like that one, I'd run away so fast, you wouldn't be able to catch me. Yikes. lol

What a wonderfully quiet, relaxing weekend with loved ones. And, the food made it perfect.

Wow, Val, that was a very productive "trip". Love those little getaways.
Breakfast looks yummy.
I think those ole' spiders are supposed to be helpful to the garden. Let me know if they aren't.

I would just *LOVE* to come to your Little Hilton. It reminds me of the cabin we lived in for two years when I was a teenager. My grandpa had helped build it many years before, and they had used it as a hunting cabin. Isn't that funny!? My mom and dad bought it and refurbished it and we lived in it. I have lots of memories. I love little cozy houses!

I want to meet you SO bad!! We have got to try to make it happen someday. And then you have got to take me to your Hilton!! :)

Catching up here on the last few posts I missed. I noticed the gravy and the tomatoes on the breakfast menu. We like them together, also and cantaloupe with gravy, too.
Your garden is great. I love the lettuce. Honey Bear and I are discussing some lettuce growing in our future.

Oh, don't "yuck" at her! That argiope garden spider is a blessing, and beautiful and fascinating to watch. She'll eat bugs all summer long and rebuild/repair her web over and over.
