Thinking Of Granny
It has been 2 years ago today since Granny left us.
Oh Val, what lovely pictures of your lovely granny! I think I remember seeing some of these before. Maybe you posted them last year? It looks like she certainly enjoyed her life. Seeing her standing at the kitchen sink reminded me of my grandma, who's been gone for many, many years. Aren't we fortunate to have sweet memories of them?
We all miss Granny and her enthusiasm for quilting, but even more, for the Lord. What an example she showed us all. If we could all live as gracefully as Granny, we would all be proud.
What sweet memories you have in these pictures! Then I saw her tulip quilt--and it reminded me of the one my ex-BIL's mom made before he was born: http://doraquilts.blogspot.com/2010/02/field-of-tulips-and-more-snow-photos.html
What a sweetheart she was. I am glad you shared your Granny with us and that I have two of her quilts (gave the third to my sis as a gift). I know you have so many memories to treasure.
What sweet pictures. I am so glad we have precious memories that we can look back on and "relive" part of our lives with our dear loved ones. Thinking of you today.
