Remembering Granny 2008

I remember this day like it was yesterday!
This quilt block is from a quilt I was making for my son.
Granny was amazed at my little humble block.

Can you tell I LOVE my Granny!
I really miss her!
This was back in 2008!

Here Granny is showing my grandchildren (her great great grandchildren)
the quilt she had just finished that day.
She was doing at least 1 quilt a week back then.
Some weeks she could do up to 3 quilts a week.
My son also came with us to see Granny!
(Grannys great grandson)

I never went to Granny's house without taking pictures
of random things. This was where the well was.
I guess I knew one day I would not get to see these things again.

This is a tree in Granny's yard!
My Grandchildren always loved playing in Granny's yard.
Precious Memories!
It would be sad if we did not have that hope
that we will see Granny again!
Thank you Lord!

Hi Val..... yes, your Granny was a precious gift to you all. Even us out here learned so much from her. She was a dear, sweet person. I know the feeling of missing a close loved one. Bless you.

I love to see people who consider their senior family members with honor and love. I felt about my grandparents the way you do. But praise God we do get to see:-)

It was good seeing Granny again. Aren't you glad God gave us the gift of MEMORY? I have never thought of that before. What if we never remembered a thing? What a life that would be!

Your granny was one special lady, and you were blessed to have her in your life for as long as you did! My dad's mother was my last living grandparent, and she died almost 20 years ago! I was closest to her and I still miss her, too. And yes, it is such a wonderful thing to have the hope that I will see her and other loved ones again some day!

Thank you for continuing to share Granny with us. My almost 85-year-old Mother & I are estranged in spite of many attempts to reconcile she will having nothing to do with me. I am heartbroken & fear time is running out. Please remember us in your prayers. Granny reminds me of my Mom.

I remember when you were selling her quilts on here, then Dad's. Time gets away from us too quickly, but the love never ends!

I remember your Granny through your blog. I bought three of her quilts, two for me, and I gave one as a gift to my sister. I love them and use them too. Just this past week I used the red & white quilt to sleep under when I visited my grandchildren and slept on my air mattress. My grandkiddos like to use it to snuggle under with me when we watch TV on the sofa at their house. Your Granny was such a lovely testimony to the Lord. xo
