Catching Up

Well, I haven't been around the blog world in a while. Hoping to return soon. Been a rough year and a half! First my mom having back surgery. Then my best friend having legionnaires pneumonia and nearly dying.  Then a 4 month journey with my mother in love. We lost her on January 9, 2014. Our hearts are heavy but hoping for a better year than the last little while.  Please keep us in your prayers.

It snowed here in Dalton, Ga. today and is very cold. It practically shut Dalton down! "Sweet Hunter" and I really enjoyed some quite time today.  We were snug as a bug in a rug! We were very lazy but I think we deserved it. He fixed us Ham Biscuits this morning. We had white beans and French fries and cornbread for supper! I had the beans in the crock pot and he offered to fry the potatoes. Next thing I knew he had the frozen crinkle cuts out cooking them! I really wanted "real potatoes"! lol  Just thankful for the help! They were actually really good.

This is what Dalton looked like today with our little snow!

I enjoyed taking  pictures of my birds today! I haven't got to use my camera in a while! My camera was fine but my computer wouldn't download them.   I hope to start posting again here on my blog! I have missed all of you!

we are of all men most miserable.

I will be having an announcement on my blog in the next day or two!

Very happy to see your name pop up on my reading list. Good to catch up on your news. We only had a light dusting of powdery snow yesterday but school was canceled today because of the extreme cold.

Have missed you! Sorry it's been such a tough year and a half. At least we have the Lord to lean on during the tough times!

Just happened upon your blog searching through older gardening blogs. I live in Arkansas but am originally from Ringgold. Most bloggers always seem to be from "somewhere else" so it's really special to find someone who talks about the places you are familiar with. I signed up to follow you immediatly. Looking forward to reading you past posts and see what the new year holds.
