Our Little Hilton

The "honeymooners" went with us this past weekend to "our little hilton"!

I brought some home grown tomatoes and peppers & lettuce from my garden!

Add some fried potatoes!!!

And the best hamburger ever!!!

The guys were busy building a shooting house!
Every time Lane comes "Sweet hunter" puts him to work!
Maybe that is why our other son in laws don't come visit! lol

I actually think they loved being out there
but they sure were working hard in that heat.

Me & "Big Sis" were in the cabin.
You won't see any pictures of us.
We kept our pajamas on the whole weekend!
It was great!
She studied and I crocheted.

I went out to check on the guys when I saw this web and spider!
YUK!

The guys did take a little break to shoot their guns!

They worked so hard that they needed to take a break.

Well they worked until I called them in for breakfast!
Deer Sausage
Scrambled eggs
Gravy & biscuits
Sliced tomatoes

And Sat. night we took a break and went to eat at the only restaurant around.
It's a seafood restaurant and is so good!
They serve cheese grits with sweet pickles!
Believe it or not, it is delicious!

Well they didn't get to finish it but it is almost there.
One more trip and they should have it done.
"Sweet hunter" could not have done it without Lane.
Thanks Lane for being a great son in law!

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR........."our little Hilton"!

A Granny Gift & Busy Work

A while back my Aunt Carol emailed and asked me if I wanted
Granny's old Mixer!
What do you think I said?
I was so excited!
And look......it has a blender!
This little jewel is going to "Our Little Hilton" with all of Granny's other stuff!

My Uncle Joe makes a great garden and they also gave me lots of veges!
Thank you to my family for these sweet gifts!

I have been so busy this summer with lots of things
including my granddaughters!
It tickles me that even though "Sweet Teen" is driving,
they came to my house almost everyday this summer!

And my oldest Grandson!
If you are wondering what he is doing.....he is throwing the biscuits to the birds!!

And my youngest grandson ...............
has Paw Paw's straw hat on!
He loves anything to do with his Paw Paw!
And he will have a little Brother or Sister soon!

My little garden hasn't done great this year but it still keeps me busy!

I planted several things in my barrels and they have done great!
This is my cucumbers.

And my lettuce!
I love picking my own salad stuff!

These are some of the flowers from the seeds  that Darla sent me!

I LOVE fresh tomatoes out of the garden!

I planted my gourds in a barrel and just let them grow across my old swing!
I think they grow a foot a day!

Oh yes, I wanted to show you this!
My Dad gave me this bedspread too.
I thought it looked perfect on my rocker!

Say hello to Polly (my friend and crochet teacher)!
I am loving my crochet class.
I am making my new grandbaby something real special
but can't show you until after the shower.
It is at the end of the month!
If it wasn't for Polly I would not be able to do it!

Of course I am still making all kinds of Dish cloths!
This one is a granny square!

Our blueberries came and went within 3 weeks!
I froze several quarts for blueberry muffins in the winter!

I made a pound cake yesterday!
I sliced it up and put some slices in the freezer
and the rest will be eaten this weekend!

This is my strawberries.
I have put them in my raised bed garden since this picture was took.

And I have been hand quilting!!!
This is a quilt top that I found at a thrift store.

I try to do 15 minutes a day on it!
Thank you Patricia for all of your encouragement!
It is because of her that I am doing this and I am not good but
I am loving it!

Today I am thankful for .........Busy Work!

Have a great weekend!
I am planning one myself!!
Oh by the way, I have not been able to comment again!!!
What is going on with blogger?
Don't think I am not reading because I am!!!

The Inside Of Our Home Part 2

This is part of our Great Room.

This is the dining area.
The french doors lead out on to the screened in porch.

This is one of our 2 gas fireplaces.

This is our living room.
It has cathedral ceilings and lots of windows.
We did have sofa, love seat and oversized chair in this room
but my Mom gave us these chairs and I loved them so
I decided to simplify this room.

This is the same room showing all the windows looking out to
the front yard and down at the pond.

The kitchen is part of the great room.
We had these cabinets put in a few years ago.
I love the look of them.

This eat in area is also part of our great room.
This is where we eat most of the time.

This is part of the pantry area that is beside the kitchen.
It has a washer & dryer, refrigerator & more in it.
This is my main working area.

Master bedroom.
I LOVE it!

Guest Bathroom

Master Bathroom.
If we do sell, this is what I will miss the most!
I LOVE my big whirlpool tub!

As you read in our last post we have put our home for sale.
You can see the outside of our home HERE!
This post just shows a few things on the inside.
The basement is a whole house in itself.
It has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, laundry area, 2 bedrooms.
Then of course we also have the double wide on our property.
It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and has many upgrades.
Hope you enjoyed my little tour of part of our home.

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR........sweet morning time.
