Work, Work, Work & A Little Quilting!

Labor day Weekend is truly labor for us! All we did was work yesterday. I worked in the garden and "My Sweet Honey" pressure washed everything in sight! We are pooped! I did get in a little quilting last night though, which I enjoyed so much. I am ashamed to tell you that this is the first quilt I ever made and I have never finished it, so I have decided before I start anymore projects, this quilt is going to be finished. My best friend and I made our first quilts at the same time 20 years ago. She finished hers way back then. Mine, has just sat until now. It will be finished before you know it though, because I am determined. Look at all the peas I got out of my garden. How do you like my gourds? I only have 3 so far that are ready to hang and dry, but I have more that are still in the garden. I guess after church this morning I will be shelling peas! I love gardening almost as much as I do quilting! I hope you all have a Blessed Lord's day today!

You certainly did have another busy day but it's a labour of love when you so enjoy doing it:-) I so enjoyed seeing all your pictures. I need to get in the garden myself today and pick yellow string beans, cucumbers and peas as I noticed yesterday there are lots ready to be picked. Good for you for deciding to finish your quilt...that's something I've never learned to do and yet I absolutely love quilts!! Happy Labour Day weekend to you and yours! xox

Alot of hardwork, but it looked fun to me. I love that kind of tired at the end of the day.

It is always a nice day when you can end it with a little quilting!

You never cease to amaze me at your energy! I know you will get that first quilt finished soon! I am proud of you, (as usual).

I looked for gourds at the farmer's market Friday and they didn't have any. :( I find when I'm determined to finish something I make myself work on it one hour a day - with a timer when necessary - and before I know it, it's done! blessings, marlene

Thanks for stopping by to see me and the encouragement of my photography (and I say that loosely)

Fresh peas sound so nice. Are you going to make bird houses from your gourds? Sitting and quilting makes a fitting end to a hard day's work!
