My best friend Vicki & I came to visit Granny and when we opened the door this is how we found her. We told her that she looked like a queen! She got a kick out of that! She was sitting there doing a word search puzzle because the thread had came out of her needle on her sewing machine. She was waiting on someone to fix it.
This is Granny's Christmas tree. My Aunt Carol put it up for her.
Vicki had brought Granny a beautiful Christmas sweater!

Thank you Vicki!
Once I fixed the needle she got back on the sewing machine and started sewing this red & white quilt. She said that I can sell this one. So if anyone wants to buy it just let me know. It was finished that day. It looks like a Christmas quilt!!!!

Granny brings all of us such joy and I thank you for sharing her. I always leave here with tears in my eyes -but they are good tears. Blessings to you all.
Valerie I love the pictures. They are so sweet. Granny sure has become a part of our quilting community. Thank you for sharing her with us :-)
I am sure that her mind is still so sharp because of the word games, sewing and dear family to communicate with. She is definitely a rare gem.
I'm so glad that you have shared you Queen Granny with all of the world. Thank you.
I just love the picture of you and Granny on the sofa. It's so sweet.
What do you mean looks like a Queen? Granny IS A QUEEN!!
I hope my grandchildren will honor and revere me as you do your Granny. Great post.
She is such a sweetie, and has such PATIENCE, waiting for someone to change a needle. Did you know it needed changed before you got there?
O Valeria - what a wonderful post. The love that exudes from you and your family just takes my breath and makes me want to cry.
I wish all families could be like you all.I have a line that I memorized as a child : a thing of beauty is a joy forever
AND I think you all symbolize that belief. I never did believe that a thing of beauty had to be a picture or painting or a thing - to me it meant some form of love because when you give love away it makes a circle right back to you.
Hi Val...I love the pictures of you and Granny. How sweet. She is a lovely lady.
Friends,
Susannah

the Red and White quilt is very chrismassy lucky buyer.
That one looks so much like mine. I have taken a photo and will post it soon. If my Daughter will come and program my new printer, I'll get a photo of me and the quilt. Then I can send it in my present for her.
