Wedding Day

These pictures are unprofessional and were took by me before the wedding and you can tell that by the stage curtain being open.
It was a beautiful day. I will have much better pictures later on but I wanted to share this special day with you.
Are they not just a gorgeous couple?
This is an answered prayer.
My Mom and my sister Karen made the wedding favors for us.
They are beautiful.
Thank you both!
This is the coffee bar. It was wonderful.
Everyone loved it.

This is our beautiful daughter on this happy day.
My very close friend Rachelle planned this whole wedding.
She did the winter wonderland theme.
It was awesome.
This is the photographer taking pictures with me right behind her snapping my little camera.
I can't wait to see the professional pictures and the DVD of the wedding.
Do you notice the arbor? That is what I was making out of the grapevines!
I have to give credit to Rachelle (one of my best friends). She decorated it and she had the vision for the whole wedding. She even had mistletoe hanging in the doorways. I am amazed at what all she did. Not only did she do a lot but she had a lot to deal with this week. Her oldest son broke his leg and then a few days later her sweet mother had a wreck and Rachelles younger son was with her. Thank the Lord they are ok. Her mother came to the wedding even though she was very sore. She also made some of the food for the wedding even after the wreck. Rachelle is so blessed with her family and we are so blessed to be a part of that family. If you ever need a wedding planner she is the best! She gave of herself and didn't ask for a thing in return. This is the kind of person she is. I am so blessed to call her my friend.
This is our daughter and we are so proud of her.

This is the wedding party goofing off & having fun!
Everything went so smooth today. I know it was your prayers.
It was actually the prettiest wedding I have ever seen but of course I am the Mom!

This is the wedding cake. It is strawberry on the inside with white chocolate curls.
It was heavenly. We received a lot of compliments on this cake. It was made by Beth. She has a business called "The Book Nook" here in Dalton. If you are ever here you will have to go and eat there. It is unreal. Beth made both of our cakes. She is Rachelle's (wedding planner, friend & sister to me) best friend.
Regina, another one of my best friends served the cakes for us. She did so much more than I could list. Another one of my best friends is Joan. There are not words to tell you how I feel about Joan. I can tell you the type of person she is. She just donated a kidney to a dear friend. This is the kind of person she is. These ladies stayed up most the night before helping Rachelle so we could go home and rest. Then there is another Best friend. It is Reba. There is just something between us that if I haven't thought of it, she does. She doesn't wait, she just does it. She took care of so many things before, during, and after the wedding. Tiffany, her daughter did all my running for me. If I forgot something, she took care of it. LeAnda, another one of Rebas daughters made sure that I had a plate at the wedding with punch. Rachelle is Lanes neice but we go back a long way. When I was sick in the hospital about 8 years ago, Rachelle slept on the floor along with other loved ones to make sure I wasn't alone. She had the vision for this wedding and worked so hard. This was a dream wedding. She loves us all with all of her heart and shows us all the time. She goes way beyond what she has too. There were so many who helped in this wedding but she led the whole group effort. I cannot thank everyone enough. I attend church with all these sisters and they are my sisters. They are family. Our church is so different than normal churches. The love there is amazing. It is not just words but actions. I saw people doing so many things at the wedding. I was amazed. My church is an amazing church. They are givers of themselves. They sacrifice everything for others. There are many I have not named but you will be hearing about them also.
Thank you is not enough.

This is the main food table. That Grooms cake
is gorgeous! This picture was took before the wedding so the candles weren't lit yet and the punch is not in the beverage fountain.

Here is a close up picture of the Grooms cake.
Beth at the Book Nook also made this cake.
Sweet, sweet moment with her daddy!
She is a daddy's girl!
We already miss her but we know without a doubt that she is with her soul mate.

We know that he will protect her and provide for her with everything he has.

We could not ask for more in a son in law. We have known Lane for a long time. We know his life. He is a giver of his heart and he has given his heart to Maranda and she has given hers to him.

We are so blessed to have 3 great son in laws! Now it is time for my son to find us a sweet daughter in law! (hint hint)!

Me & my girls! Aren't they beautiful?
I am proud of all of them. Shannon and Mandy have given us gifts of grandchildren.
The gift of all gifts.

Special moment in the dressing room.
Excuse the mess!
But you have got to notice the camouflage garter!!!!
Too Cute!
I cannot even describe this ceremony with words. Lane and Maranda wrote their own vows. I will share the exact words later on when I see the Dvd. Lane started out by saying that he loved Maranda the first time he ever saw her. He told her how much he loved her and then he said that he not only wanted to spend his life here with her but he also wanted to spend it with her in eternity one day. There wasn't a dry eye in the house especially Maranda.
Then it was her turn. She told Lane that she had always dreamed of finding a love like her mother and daddy has and now she has found it. (Randy & I cried and held hands). You have got to understand these are 2 people that don't like to be in the spotlight but honestly they were so calm. Maranda went on to tell him that she would be good to him and love him and would be his constant friend. Everyone was crying at this point. Then Maranda looked at him so seriously and said, I promise you that I will even try deer hunting one time! It completely changed from tears to laughter! What a compliment that our daughter gave us! It touched our hearts deeply.

Now you have got to understand when you look at this picture of them kissing. These 2 are very quiet and laid back people. When he was told he could kiss the bride, he certainly did! It was great.

Lane has always put on Marandas seat belt for her when he puts her in the car.
It is so sweet. Here is he putting her in the car. I will share more details of this beautiful wedding later. I am so tired, happy tired.
Goodnight and thank you for your prayers. The wedding was perfect.

It certainly looks like it was a glorious day for everyone especially the happy couple. They look so much in love and by the words you've written it sounds as if Lane has been waiting for Maranda. Interesting how things work out sometimes. God definitely works in mysterious ways. Congratulations to the happy couple!

I agree with Valerie, it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to, also. They had tables set up for all the guests to sit and enjoy the ceremony, with name cards. Everything was perfect about the whole wedding! Beautiful bride, wonderful and good looking groom, and so full of emotion! I know this is the beginning of a really happy life for the both of them.
Love
Mom, (Nana to all those beautiful girls!)
