First of all, I just have to show you my first embroidery!! Embroidery for dummies!!! That is really the name of it. I actually finished it.
Perfect, NO, but I did it and I am proud. Now what do I do with it? *Smile*

Snippets from my heart:
I have to tell you that as much as I love blogging, my heart has not been in it lately. I know that I need to get busy sewing and blogging because those things that I love help keep my hands busy in things besides working and makes it easier to deal with the journey that I am on. I need to pray more too - that is for sure. But you may notice that right now I will be giving you little snippets from my heart without telling you my whole story. That is not really necessary. I want to make a difference. Isn't that what we are here for? So bear with me as I share my heart for a few posts. This is for me but I hope that it will bless someone else too. That will make this trial a blessing. That would make a difference.

Happiness is like a butterfly,
The more that you chase it,
The more it may elude you,
But if you turn your attention to other things....
It will come and sit softly on your shoulder.

Oh, Honey, that is so beautiful! The embroidery and the poem and your post. We are in a holding pattern, it seems, at least I am. I know that many prayers are going out for our trial, and we appreciate those prayers so very much.
Love
MOM
Oh Val, it appears you are getting your heart and hands wrapped around the situation...not that you can change any of it...but that you are able to forge ahead and handle it. Many prayers have been prayed for you and your family - for which we know you are so grateful.
The embroidery work is so pretty...if this type of hand work brings you a sense of peace, then by all means continue it.
Happy Easter...don't eat too many dyed eggs.
Love and hugs from here.

Your embroidery is BEAUTIFUL and I also like what you wrote. I am touched that you are sharing snippets of your heart with us.
Continued prayers go out for you and your family. I'm praying that He will fulfill every need and every hope that your heart holds today.
Love, Lois
Thinking of you, my friend. This is a special post. Continue to be strong.
I'm hanging in here with you Valerie.
I sure do understand that your heart hasn't been in the sewing and blogging. But you know that your fellow bloggers are with you in Spirit and in Prayer! Christ is our LIGHT, and not just in name only, but in reality! You have chosen to trust Him, and He is with you throughout all your struggles and sufferings! He is also with your loved ones! I always loved that picture and reminder of the foot prints in the sand. Looks like one set of foot prints but it was because Jesus was carrying the hurt one! Remember He is carrying your loved one also. The prayers and tears do not go without being saved and dealt with by the hosts of heaven! Trust that Truth!
Oh, You are a wonderful embroiderer! Keep it up! Wow~!
Thank you Valerie. Just want you to know that I haven't stopped praying for you. Your embroidery is beautiful. I love embroidery too and am always wishing I would get back into it. Maybe your beautiful handwork is just the push I need.
Blessings to you and yours, Valerie. Sincere thoughts are with you from me.
Your embroidery is very pretty. That delicate butterfly looks as if it could be real. I love to embroider but don't seem to do much of anything lately. That butterfly may just push me along to do something like that.
May God be with us all on Easter.
Friends,
Susannah
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I am sorry you are facing a trial in your life, and though I do not know the circumstances, I have lifted you up in prayer!
If that is your FIRST embroidery, then you have great things ahead of you!! I loved your writing. Prayers for blessings and peace.
O Valerie!
You have returned ! Yea! I have missed you - I think we all know that you are like the sunshine - so warm and beautiful !
I will keep you and your family in my prayers to!
And - your embroidered piece if a work of art! I still have a couple of pieces that my Mom did -probably 60 years ago and they still mean the world to me.
Blessings my dear.
i love this verse, i have heard it before. thank you for sharing it. i love that embroidery, i don't think it's silly at all!! you did a great job! it would look so lovely hanging in my bedroom. :0)
you should be proud of it, you made it with your own hands. :0) bless, jenn
Val, it's beautiful - you did good, dear one! How about a pillow for your bed? I'm SO proud of you.
Remember Granny when you feel discouraged - she's been a blessing to me to keep me going when I don't want to. When I'm sewing, especially with handwork, I often find myself praying. The Amish saying 'hands to work, hearts to God' give me incentive as well.
I'm praying that happiness comes to sit and stay softly on your shoulders, dear one.
Wonderful embroiderer! Keep it up! i love it!!
Praying for you. I don't know the situation but God does. He is carrying you safely in His arms. Thank you for sharing snippets of your life with us. Your embroidery is just beautiful.
