Cookout & Congratulations

This is our year for being with old friends!
You may remember a while back that I told you about my friend Gayle.
Over 30 years ago we were both divorced with children so we decided to move in together
so it would be easier on both of us.  Well we haven't saw each other since until a couple of months ago.
Life just got in the way.  Now Gayle is engaged to our Sister in Law's brother, Bruce!
How neat is that!

Gayle hosted a cook out at her house the other night.
We had so much fun.  There were a lot of people there.
This is our (and soon to be Gayles), Sister In Law, Glo.
Who would have thought that over 30 years ago 2 good friends would soon be almost family?

I wish I had more pictures of the cookout.
There were some that dressed up in Halloween costumes.
We were privileged to meet some of  Gayle's grandchildren.
We have a lot of good memories with Gayle and
hope to have many more good times with her and Bruce.

Glo is so excited along with all of us about this engagement.
We are gonna have a lot of fun in the future.
I don't want to lose touch again! Life is too short.

This is Gayle and her mother.
I thought I had a picture of Gayle with her sister but I can't find it.
As you can see a lot of my pics are blurry.

Gayle and Bruce officially announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.
We are all so excited.  They are so blessed. We are so blessed to be their friends.

SNIPPETS FROM MY HEART
It must be my year to meet up with old friends. Isn't is amazing how you lose touch with your friends.  Life just gets in the way.  Then as you get older you realize how much friends and family means to you.  I have no desire to go back to high school or the days that I was divorced with 2 small children.  But it is so nice to know that you are still loved by so many.

Now I want to share about these 2 lovebirds that are getting married.
They truly have a love story.  They both needed each other and the Lord put them together.
They were 2 old friends that haven't saw each other in a long time.  Bruce said that he actually was in love with Gayle in high school but she never knew it.  Isn't that amazing? Isn't it funny how things just come full circle?   The Lord is blessing them from everywhere.  Please pray that they will have a long and happy life together.

Congratulations Bruce and Gayle!!!

Congratulations to both of them. It is so much fun to reconnect with old friends. We do get so tied up raising our families and it is nice when we can make those connections again.
